Fixed, well "fixed" isn't really the most accurate term, even though I rarely swap rda's/mods I actually have a quazi hybrid "system" which makes it pretty easy. Seeing as 10 of 12 of my mods don't have conventional "510's" I just thought that if I'm going to ditch the paradigm to wring out that last .2 volts of drop I should at least standardize....all my custom center pins all use the same marine brass machine screw/threading and either mylar or delrin insulator (some insulators are built into the mod)...swapping is just a matter of undoing the nut/washer that holds the contact strip, unscrew the RDA and reversing the process (it's very Reo repair kit style)...I've even managed to almost standardize the length of machine screw that extends down out of the 510 outer barrel (or I may have to swap bottles)

...the best (or worst) thing I ever bought was a 7mm x.5 tap and DeoxIT Gold...anything that conducts becomes a 510 connector though typically I use these copper buss bar punch-outs (1/4" thick x 1/2" diameter)...I picked a bunch of them up off the floor from a job site I was on a lifetime ago (which reminds me...getting low on those)

To build/test my "hybrid'd RDA's" I have some sigelei clone tele tube with a "kick" extension with the 510 center pin removed. (I've even fabbed a brass pin/head that I can stick in the feed hole, cause I always center bore with a #56 bit, and tube/drip like the mall rats...the novelty of which wears off fast :D but it's good before I commit to a new flavor mix...or remind myself that vaping that way is a major pita)

I can see you rolling your eyes now...but I've never been one to follow convention

We need this in a bottom fed version. Release date is TBA.

I've been googleing these RDA's...imo, looks like a nice unit... and I can't see how bf'ing one will be much of a challenge (if you think they'll release a native bf version you're dreaming... we're barely a niche)... but I've just got this feeling that with the dragging out of the FB buzz machine and the back door pre-releases to the typical YT "promoters" we may see the clones before the genuine article... which is personally fine with me... at least then it'll be a reasonable price...

But it's making me wonder...I think we can all agree that the smaller chamber RDA's hold the crown in the flavor dept...maybe I'll dig through the old RDA box and find something to cut the cap down on... like serious cut down... Could be interesting...

I've seen several different atties that the cap is very thick above the chamber and could be cut down... especially those with heat sink fins... the problem would then be the lip for the driptip wouldn't have enough depth to take a driptip so you'd have to leave a nub, kinda just like that deringer actually, that's prolly not a driptip in there but a nub of the cap to take a driptip, come to think of it there are several atties I can think of that can prolly be cut down to similar to this

On that exactly, I found some thin wall brass tubing that if you chuck a piece up in a drill and run it against a file a bit it can be "pressed" into a top cap (in place of a DT)...you'd pretty much have to drill it out if you changed your mind though...I "had" to come up with that solution when I shaved a bunch of what I thought was useless metallic flourish from the top of my Odin

I also picked up the corresponding rod that just slides in so I can make a solid DT top you could drill out to a normal size...as it stands now, I've got a couple mods with DT's I've termed "that are runnin' open headers"

I can't seem to find any new info on this, and all Praxis's website says is to keep watching social media. Anyone have any new info on this? The more I look at it, the more I think about cutting the posts in a Dark Horse clone, and modifying the top of the cap to fit around the base (the part that unscrews to flip/rotate the AFC ring). Could be doable, i'll have to take a look at my DH to see. Local B&M sells DH clones for $20, so wouldn't be a waste if possible.

I'm hoping mine will be in hand on Monday... If he ships on Saturday I will have it on Monday...

Lucky snake. I have to have the mounties let the dogs inspect it at the border before it gets sent to me by dog sled. I'll be lucky to to get it within 2 weeks.

But you have to be thankful for this time of year though...it sure is nice when the big freeze hits us (Sept. thru Jun.)...all our gravel roads are murder on the oxen.
