Thank you all who have posted here and those who have sent me private messages. I knew, as usual, how reliable and caring you people are. I would like to share with you a personal moment that actually gave me comfort in her passing. When she was in ICU I saw her and spent many hours with her. I spoke with her and such but when we decided to take her off ventilation I didn't want to see her. Her brain stem was all that was operating and she began going down hill and I wanted one less image of her demise in my memory bank. The nurses told us her breathing was slowing down and it shouldn't be long so I went in her room with the curtain closed and a nurse and my sister's boyfriend were in there with her on the other side. I talked with her then sang a favorite song of hers and mine, "melissa" by the allman brothers, to her and talked some more then walked out of the room. The nurse ran out and asked me to come back in because my talking/singing relaxed my mom's breathing. So I did and then my sister came in and we told stories and made promises and such. I told her how much I love her and how special she is to me, then I sang "Go rest high on the mountain", about halfway through the nurse came around and said my mom let out what looked like a slight smile and took her last breath. Please call those you love or go see them soon and let them know that they are loved and are special. I told my mom all the time but I think it would never be enough and certainly not to much. I have lost so many people I love in my life, and I try my best to not restrict the "I love you's" if I indeed do. Thank you all again.

That is beautiful.
I know where ever she is, she is smiling over you. :)
