Does anyone make up their own nicotine base (for example...70vg, 30pg, 3mg nic) to add flavors from a recipe? I want to pre make it and then add my flavors to it later. Does it work best in single flavors or can you use multiple?
Sounds easy enough ...
70/30/3 mg it'll be 2.70 mg with 10% flavoring. Personally, I can't tell the difference between 2.70 and 3, so I don't worry about my premix being a little off. If I were worried about being on the high side of 3mg, I'd premix at 70/30/4 or 4.5 mg.I don't get this. If your recipes are fixed and all use the same flavor percentages then that would work. But if you have one recipe that calls for 5% total flavorings and another that runs, say, up to 20% flavorings then your "fixed" ratio of PG, VG and nic is going to come out at different levels depending on the percentage of flavorings you put into that pre-mixed base. Want to add something else like EM or thin it with water? Then your "fixed" base ratios get thrown out of whack even more.
I would suggest running some of your recipes through a calculator first and see what that 70/30/3% actually lands at depending on the percentage of flavor, the flavors use of PG or VG as a carrier, or other ingredients you might consider adding to the recipe.
