from the way i understand the rules the category ''welcome thread'' automatically disqualifies a prevet from the year-end drawing. and we had a few that made it to their turning after all.

I guess my point is.... why don't we just adjust the timing for those that say they can't make it?

IDK. The whole thing starts to get hard to manage and explain when you add "complications" and "conditions" to it. Ignore me. I'm not awake yet I guess. I just remember the good old days when they could have a welcome thread, or an avatar party and not worry about the impact. OTOH... it's only the G.P. drawing they miss, and it's only a 1 in a ?00 shot that they'd win anyway.

They have to BE THERE at the fireworks......a bit different than just signing up.
