Wow, I was looking at your sign up date of 2008 here on the forums! Now that is old school :) Good to hear you are enjoying your new ELA!

Doesn't seem like 6 years, haha. I remember when the Super-T1 came out in 2009. Man, I wanted one, but didn't neeeed one, already owned a fleet of Screwdrivers by then. Then the Super Six came around the time I left the forums late '09/early '10. Was well received by the "old-schoolers" whose opinions I highly respected.

It was finally time for me to upgrade my equipment. Reluctantly to be honest, haha. It's just become a real PITA trying to find atties/batteries that work well with my Screwdrivers these days.

All these years later and your products are still the only ones that catch my attention. Vouched for by other "old-schoolers" who still swear by Super-T. There are certainly more options in the "high-end" mod market now-a-days. I am probably biased towards a business that's been around since 2009. And one made in the U.S., haha.

I have no plans to collect a bunch of devices, will just keep my Screwdrivers around as backup. This ELA is gonna get used and abused as my new workhorse, haha. It's built for it. :)

As always it the most beautiful Silky Grey Satin Stainless in the industry...

The Satin finish really is something, not just in the ecig world. Most similar finishes I have seen are either "sparkly" or "textured" in some way. Silky smooth grey really is a good description, haha. It just mutes the shine while maintaining the appeal of stainless steel. Perfect, for me.

PS: I've always liked flat or "pipe" or "whistle" drip tips. Those super flat ones on 901 cartridges are great, haha. I rarely buy drip tips, but I picked up a Wide Bore Delrin Whistle T-Tip and have been enjoying it. I was a little put off at first as the lip has a rough 90 degree edge on it, but once I started using it found an advantage to this adding grip for my fingers or even with my teeth to remove the tip when I feel the need for more precise drips, haha. Since this has the wide bore for dripping, the shape is more square than flat. I will most likely pick up the standard bore whistle to try a flat version :)

Thanks David! I tried to add them the first time despite out of stock indication. THIS time it worked! Many thanks!

What the fudge is wrong with me, haha. Fourth order placed this month...for non-functional accents!?

Fart.

The Standard bore whistle has the same exterior dimensions as the drip version, just a smaller hole. :)

And I agree with you about Super-Ts being built to use and abuse, that's one of the reasons I love them so much. Many other premium things you're afraid to touch lest it be imperfect. Super Ts are tools! You should see my relatively new V2. It looks like it's been to a war zone already - in a good way.

As always it the most beautiful Silky Grey Satin Stainless in the industry...Thx David:) Pictured below: ELA V2 (Satin) ELA V2 Flat Bottom Switch Assembly (Satin) ELA Extended Tube (Satin) Yes that is correct the Extended Tube is also finished in Satin....Maybe a SuperT first ?
2n9gnma.jpg

I heard it through the grapevine (From SuperT members not to be named) that the ELA V2 somehow felt cheaper then the ELA V1....Nothing could be further from the truth. Same ELA heavy duty quality with superior upgraded features.. First the new locking horned button is more stable when standing on end vs. the original (Flat bottom switch is still the most secure) Then the ease of locking, it is so slick and easy to lock you wont believe it.... Now the new locking ring...what I can it just is more secure with less tightening force... How does the ELA V2 hit vs. the ELA V1 ? You be the judge... Snork didn't lie, there in no doubt about it hits much harder...why I don't know but it does :vapor: ! The feature I liked better about the ELA V1 is the original top cap design... David I want a spare ELA V2 compression band when you have the time..... ELA V2

I'll put up some bands this coming week for you. On the Satin Extension tube, I figured an old time Super-T customer like yourself wouldn't mind :)

Ah! Thanks Snork, I juuust added that DT to my accent order, shoot. Thanks for letting me know they're the same shape, I think I'll shoot an email, i'd rather have the ability to drip all things being equal.

Haha, that is exactly how I view my ecigs, as tools. My first mod I bought November '08 and used that exclusively for around two years, on & off after that as my "at work" device. Still have it, still works, but boy is that thing beat up, haha.

I'd love to see a pic of a well used ELA ;) Totally agree about wanting to avoid something that won't wear a scratch well. The only thing I'd be worried about if I dropped my ELA are my toes, haha.

Right now I don't want this purdy new ELA to get beat up, but it's inevitably gonna happen.

You can always send it back in for a facelift if it gets too beat up.
Very many of mine have gone in, come out looking like new except for the most horrible of bends and gouges. Let's see, the only ones I haven't had refinished are the T1 (doesn't need it), Super 6 (beautifully and historically dinged, plus it looks like it was sent back once by the previous owner), miscellaneous P10s and P16s and my ShockWaves. My Shiny ShockWave doesn't really need it and the Satin bears the scars of a lifetime and I wouldn't have it any other way.

True! the warranty was another big plus for me, a great offer. Will have to wait to see how it ages whether that will be necessary or not.

I do have a question, talking about facelifts, haha, something I think i had read somewhere in this thread but couldnt find again...

David, or anyone, do you or can you "satinize" other non-Super T objects? Like an atomizer? Just curious right now, don't really see myslef ever doing it, haha, but for future reference if i felt compelled...do you offer that service? If so, does the grade of stainless steel make a different. Seems like most of what i have is 304, maybe some 303.

He once satinized something for me but has since said he'd rather not, would rather devote time to his own products. Vaptamist has on many occasions sent something off to specialists though with great results. Not sure whether I should post links...

Gotchya. Thanks for the info :) No worries about links or anything, was just a curiosity that popped into my head with the discussion. I don't have anything particular in mind to provide further details. If I get the itch down the road I can look into it, or bug someone about it, haha.

By the way the polished extended tube looks better ( With Satin ELA) then the Satin extended tube due to the contrast between the 2 finishes... At least that's my opinion :2c: ...But I do have both now for different looks, I think when running the Strata I will use the satin extended tube and when in 510 top cap mode the polished..... Thanks for doing that for me, and the bands too when you have time. ...;)

If you ever want to trade extension tubes, you know where to find me :)
I saw pictures of that ribbed finished in satin and loved it -- I think it was a Simplicity but now I want everything in satin!
