i have nothing bad to say about the Precise P18 mod and the business. wait time was about 6 weeks during the time of Christmas 2010. quality of the piece is superb, which nobody would argue. the business also stocks all the accessories you need to make the device fully functional: drip tips, batteries, and chargers. customer service is also very good: 9/10. replies in a day or two. instructions were a little shoddy for those not familiar with battery types, etc; and i think they could have been much simpler, but on the other hand, they weren't really necessary after a few minutes of thinking and screwing things together. the device operation is self-explanitory even for those that never used a vaporizor before. it's a purely mechanical device, with no electronics. after 2 months, i have done nothing to maintain it, nor do i see any need to do anything to maintain it, though some would probably recommend using anti-oxidation/lubrication compounds on the threads and button. i can't see anything that will ever wear out on the device, and excepting user damages, i am confident it will last a lifetime. i got the brass model, and found the clearances around the button to be a little tight at first causing some button stickiness, but after a few weeks, the brass wears itself smooth, and now the button functions smoothly and flawlessly. if you use the device many hours/day, it is possible to feel a little soreness of the thumb, which grips the sharp edge of the top cap to squeeze the button on the bottom, but i would describe that as something noticable, but not irritating or bothering. the battery is fitted by a rubber O-ring, not a spring, so it sits solid in the device with no looseness, neither side-to-side, nor up-and-down. the device feels very solid.
improvements i would like to see are a softer edge on the top cap. something to prevent the button pressing accidently in a pocket, while not destroying the simplicity of the engineering (i heard he is working on a locking mechanism, but i think i would prefer a simple cap that can snap on and off). it is probably as slim and light of a device as one can buy for a 18650 battery. the battery is completely sealed from the juice well. i do wish something on it wasn't perfectly round, so that it didn't roll when laid on its side. unless you stretch the spring on the button, the button-press can be too soft to stand the device on the button. i dislike things that roll, because you can't set them down on surface unless it is perfectly level, and non-moving.
i am perfectly pleased with it, and have no desire for another device, except for backup purposes. i love the 18650 battery, it lasts for 1.5-3 days, depending on usage. the price was a little high: $200+, but i don't feel cheated
well, maybe just a tad, but i won't complain about it. Made in the USA, well-engineered, well-crafted, and reliable service. i hope people don't destroy it by abusing the service. it is not easy for a man to manage all the operations of a little business when customers abuse the owners time.
