Price of Analogs in NY

I always got my cigs at the Rez, too. Got the Seneca brand for $20/carton. A true bargain in NY!

When the Seneca tribe and the state would get into it over taxes, we always had to watch for the State Troopers checking what you were buying. I forget what the purchase limit was, but it wasn't much, maybe 2-3 cartons is all you could get.

I can hardly wait to get out of this state!

I was in the Air Force during the 70's and we paid 25 cents a pack.

Heh ... way back in ... 1991 I think? A friend of mine and I found a $20 bill. We went to the local gas station and bought a carton of Marb Red's for $16 or so. We took the rest of the money for a fast food dinner.

I think a carton of Marb Reds now in the same area is around $90. As I understand, making a premium pack of cigs with overhead included, costs around $0.75. Add on the huge profits before taxes, lets say 100%, and we are at $1.50. Add on profits for the store, maybe $1.80... Gotta love the taxes!!!

This was in upstate NY. Before the dark times. Before the liberals.

Here in Oz, my brand went to $18/pack before I decided to start vaping and I used 1.5 packs per day. That was almost a year ago, don't know what they are now.

With the money I've saved I've bought a beach house, a new car and a round the world vacation!! (just joking!!!)

Yep...and now the Aussie dollar buys $US1.04 so you can add another 5% to that price for comparison.

Poor dog. I'm also from New York and I went to my local grocery today to get something to drink, to my amazement I saw the 12.50 Marlboro's and laughed a little inside.
