Wisconsin here, Milwaukee area.

Packs are anywhere from $6.25 up to over $7

Seems to be all over the place, but I have actually spent over $10 in bars to get a pack.

Wow. I had no idea prices were so much cheaper in other states...guess that is part of our SIN TAX!

Would be really curious to know where all that tax money is going...

Meh.

I live in Las Vegas and we have an Indian Reservation on the edge of town. Their prices are the cheapest which was about $37 a carton for a name brand, but no sales tax on top of that. Other stores charge the 8% sales tax.

For the last year I was actually ordering cigs from Russia. With the shipping it was only about $20 a carton, but that was for a generic brand I have never seen in the states!

If you are paying $40 a carton in VA you definitely aint shopping at 7-11. Most c-stores are above $5 a pack.

I definitely never shop at 7-11 if I want to pay a decent price on anything. Last time I checked the local Food Lion Marlboro Reds, what I used to smoke, were $42 a carton with one of their MVP store cards. I'm in Norfolk so I doubt the prices in Va Bch are much if any different.

it's gonna be like $9.10 in new york now right?
sooo glad i quit. i'm by the reservation, and 5.50 a pack was killin' me.

did you guys hear how they momentarily seized a truck full of native cigarettes the other day for no reason at all? a lot of the senecas i talked to think it was a retaliation for them challenging the ruling on mailorder cigs. we may be in for a war down here by the reservation pretty soon. it's getting crazy, the natives are so ......, and rightly.

A couple years ago I was ordering cigarettes from India or some eastern country. They were costing around $12 a carton. The problem is, the U.S. border patrol confiscated them. I received a letter from U.S. Customs and Immigration warning me that if they confiscated anymore cigs that were destined to me, I would face criminal charges. I never ordered more than 1 carton at a time. After that, I oredered them from an Indian reservation in New York and then eventually rolled my own for around 85c per pack. I could still be rolling for less than $1 per pack, so I'm really not saving any money. But, there are other reasons not to smoke. :)
