I have had a look at the website selling the various devices talked about on this forum, however, I've found that the rates are much much higher than the e-cigs being sold by steamz.in (indian co, but most probably the product is made in china) which are sold for US $20-$30 only !

I have just purchased one of the steamz models from linuxbazar.com
and though I find it completely OK, since this is my first device so i don't really have anything to compare with. Plus I am not yet off the analogue cigs. Am planning to shift to e-cigs completely from the next week end now.

Want to know if anyone has tried this co. and what is your opinion.
Hi Amione,
I have used steamz too, but they dont come with nicotine & with their deisgn , refilling may not be too easy. Havent tried refilling though.

Went with the trusty 901 but I'm using the RN4075 version. It's just reliable and parts are cheap and plenty. Doesn't burn to hot so gives great flavor.

Have 2 NPRO's and both aren't that great. Hard to draw on and not that reliable. Parts are non-existant. Hope your atomizer doesn't go out.

The Janty Fogger (Joye306) that really puts out the vapor (That's my goto for a quick fix) Burns hot and not great with subtle flavors but kicks with strong flavors.

I am looking to buy an e cig for my husband for Father's Day. I have never used one, he has never used one, and neither of us know anyone who has ever used one.

The kids, and the hospital that my husband works at would be ecstatic, and he would love to be able to get his fix without all the grief.

My husband works constantly. He literally has no time to mess with parts and mods, etc.

He is however a very very heavy smoker.<------Like that guy.

He smokes more than anyone I have ever known. He can smoke 3 cigarettes in the time it takes everyone else to smoke 1. Chain smoker is an understatement.

So, I need to get him something that will satisfy his heavy nicotine addiction, something that looks like a cigarette (I looked at the Screwdriver everyone was raving about, but, it looks so much like a Screwdriver, I don't know if the mentally addicted side of him will go for that?), and something that a beginner can use. Something he can use quick and easy with no fuss. A kit that has everything a beginner needs.

He bites his filters...8-o So I worry that a hard metal filter, and he may forget and... there go his two front teeth. I thought I saw somewhere that some types had a soft filter or mouth piece? I guess it is not a total necessity, but it would be nice.

Anyone have any suggestions??

TIA!

Mymalady, for a really heavy smoker, you should follow the advice of the numbers above. So, if you don't feel you should make the leap to the Screwdriver as his first ecig, at least go with the highly regarded manually switched 510/DuraC. Or perhaps the newer Janty Stick, that is also manually switched and has USB. The JS uses a penstyle atomizer, and there are softer mouthpieces available for those.

Then when he's ready, he can get an SD. :D (joke)

Thanks for the feedback Kalc. But, what do you mean by ''they dont come with nicotine"? From what I understand steamz has nicotine with each cartridge equal to around 8-10 analog cigs. Is that incorrect?

Also, I see you're in Delhi/India. Which model are you using ? and how do you get the liquid for refilling in India ? Do you order from overseas websites or is it available locally somewhere ?

Being a newbie I have loads of questions !

I have a small problem: I purchased a lot of cartridges from steamz . in but later someone told me that their cartridges are zero nicotine. Their packaging for e-cig (which seems to be a super mini identical to BE401 from bestecig . com) also mentions 'no nicotine'

However, their customer support claims cartridges do have nicotine (in varying strengths). Is it possible to test if a certain cartridge has nicotine or not ?

Since I ordered a lot of quantity I want to be sure before ordering from somewhere else.
Also, being a noob at vaping, i am not sure how to tell the difference by using them. I did manage to stop analogs for 2 days by using these cartridges but the moment i heard the carts might be zero nic I started off on analogs again ! 8-o

(I hope I'm not posting in the wrong topic, but since new forum members are not allowed to create a topic, so....)

I'm really surprised that the supermini - DSE-103/peewee/npro/SOLARFLARE...etc is not a more common model. I would have thought that because it looks so much like a real cig it would be very popular. Also, if you get the solarflare specifically(from eliquidplanet.com) the performance is top notch. I initially bought a smoking everywhere dse-103 style e-cig which was ok, but the solarflare puts it to shame. The big difference being the performance of the atomiser. The solarflare atomiser is in my opinion is the best atomiser for this style e-cig. Perhaps if more people had tried the solarflare atomiser this model might be a bit more popular.

Started with the InLife, but PROBLEMS and little vape.:nah: Then tried the BE112, but same problems. 8-o SO, I just got the Janty Stick - Lots of Vape:evil: but has a learning curve - found I have to keep clening the contact points or it dies. Also, it's ugly. SO, I just ordered the Joye510. Good to know so many people enjoy this one. Thanks for the poll!

I've had pretty good luck with e-cig.com, a company in China with good live customer support. A year ago got a good deal on a basic kit--for 95 dollars, which included shipping, I got 90 or more cartridges and USB cig and regular cig w/atmozer and charger. My cartridges still work but I fooled around with the atmomizers and wrecked them, so a few weeks ago, I sent for the atomizers, which they still have as a separate feature though mainly sell the combo cartridge and atomizer. This way I could use my old cartridges. I never really got into it a year ago. But also, from spiritsmokes, I ordered liberty stix with two combo atomizer/cartiridges. Their cig charge us real good and atomizer gives lots of puff, but the cartridge-atomizer just has very little "stuffing". Meantime, I charged up my e-cig.com with the new atomizer, but didn't get enough vapor going after just about 10 days, so now I took out the stuffing of the very ample cartridges from e-cig.com with tweezers and re-stuffed the dwindling, non-vaping cartridge sheath that slips over the liberty stix atomizer, put it on the liberty stix battery art and voila. I'm vaping away. There are probably better ways to do this. Main thing is, I am finding the cartridges expensive! I think the e-cig.com g prices are still good and they seem to have worked on their service. During the lympics, some folks did not get their orders as they were seized by customs, but I had no problem.

For the one day that I didn
t have anything charged up and nothing was working properly, I went back to real cigs. Until then, for 10 days I was real cig free. I have been smoking over a pack a day for 46 years, since I as a kid, despite any health warnings I have received, discomfort, a few programs---I honestly think the e=cig is my only chance at stopping. I felt better right away.

Scared about the coming ban of these devices. Cheers to my fellow vapers. Emma
