It's probably more for people that already own a REO
Ok guys, I have a quick question. So I'm dry fitting the Polished Gray parts from Sculpteo and I notice on the screen cover, where the battery contact is supposed to slide in, there are no grooves in the rails. Is it ok to just grind these rails off and glue the contact on the cover? I just don't know how I can create grooves where there are none to start with or how to fit the battery contact in there.
Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
You could make the groove with a coping saw blade?
A sawzall or jigsaw blade also works good. I also use an xacto knife if only a small amount of cleaning out is needed.
I have one with removed rails and now has a slightly wider gold contact held in place with epoxy ... haven't observed any issues yet.
The grooves are prolly there, just covered in dust, just use a sharp object to score and clean out the dustOk guys, I have a quick question. A sawzall or jigsaw blade also works good (not teeth flat in groove, but at 45 degree). I also use an xacto knife if only a small amount of cleaning out is needed.
This is a bit strange. Grey Polished is basically White unpolished, but then dyed and polished. I am interested to see what they did to the rails. Can you post a picture? Maybe I can make an adjustment to the design?
Yep didnt have this problem on my white polished and I understand this stuff isn't going to be perfect. I gotta go see if I can find a coping saw blade around here. Worst case, I might just grind the rails off and glue the contact on. As always, thanks for the help!
