I got my stuff from SW yesterday, 1 WSF & 1 WSF polished. As a cursory look, they appear pretty good...parts match up and nothing seems undersized....yet. Today I'll start sanding, dry fitting, and prepping these. I need to pick up some paint and a #36 bit. I think I have a 6-32 tap some where around here.
I think Shapeways is getting their act back together. The parts I received from them the other day looked pretty good too...Doesnt excuse the recent BS they pulled, so right now Sculpteo is getting the majority of my part orders.
Awesome. I'm ordering rings & buttons in black detail for both the Peko & dna.
I am very tempted to try black detail body and top cap for the Peko. I wonder how much it would cost....
Black Detail is ~2x the cost of polished/color plastic. I have no idea how it would print. I can open up that option if you want to be "THE" first Tester. It could be awesome or it could be a total wipe out.
Black detail body & top cap, polished Nickel button & ring would look so awesome if it actually could come out right...
So how much is the detailed black body and top cap gdeal? Really twice the price? And does anyone have a shapeways coupon code? So far I've ordered 2 Pekos and 1 GDNA from Sculpteo before a coupon was available so it would be nice to actually get a discount someday for something. LOL

with shapeways all you can do is leave your parts in your shopping cart for days and hope they will notice and send you a 10% coupon - sw is really stingy though with coupons 
Black Detail Plastic is twice the price of plastic for larger parts. But on smaller parts, the handling fee can be more than the material cost. (That why a tiny button cost so much) On larger parts, the material cost kicks in and thats where the big price differential shows up. Shapeways has a relatively lower minimum handling fee, that's why Sculpteo buttons are so freaking expensive and why I bundled the mods into a single model on their site. A black detail button on Shapeways is less expensive than an un-polished white plastic button on Sculpteo. Go figure.
Thanks, Rossum. You were correct. I used just the tap and it worked fine. The drill bit might have made it a little easier but I took my time and now the screw threads in real nice.
Beware the metal rings -- particularly those made of steel. They tend to fit poorly. Bronze, brass, and sterling have a better track record.
So I've never played with a dna anything board before, I've read the sheet from evolv on the 40, but I've only seen a 30 being wired up.
Is there anything different I need to do to run the 40 In this mod?
Can I leave the fire button on the board? Do I leave the rails on?

Sorry to be a pita, but honestly I'm scared to Fcuk up this board. Does the fire button need to be removed for clearance? Will the board work properly with it still intact but with the addition of the remote fire button?
What should I do you only remove the Mechanism so I don't have to run jumpers across the contacts?
