Here's the equipment checklist if you wanna try it

1. Magic marble paints
2. container deep enough to fully immerse the shell.
3. Plastic liners to make clean up easy
4. Tap water bet 70F - 80F
5. swirl stick - could be anything like a popsicle stick, skewer, ... a pencil
6. Latex gloves - the paint just loves to stick everywhere you don't want it to
7 Big bottle of acetone and some cotton pads handy - for paint clean up or if you're not happy with the results
8. Bunch o newspapers

Can the durability of this paint be increased by coating it with Krylon Clear or will it eat the paint?

What type of paint are you using? I used enamel and it was fine. But the mods i coated with minwax polyurethane are way better. It is two to three times the price but more durable. I have mods with clear enamel (like krylon) that are chipping. I don't know others experiences, but i went back and bought the poly. Went with quart brush poly instead of spray....a lot cheaper.

I missed the marble paint, which is enamel. So not wrong, what I stated still applies.

yup - that's all you need from mcmaster's

most of the items come in quantities much higher than you need except for the tubing and the hex keys.

According to that link, McMaster makes you order a minimum of 10 feet of tubing. So should be good for 30-40 mods lol

OTG....What I am saying is that there are no parts to order from Fastenal. The new parts list replaced Fastenal source parts with parts from McMaster.
