I would read the can and add time....but mine never turns out no matter how much I wait and follow directions.i swear I must have a diff clear that's messin with the hammertone paint.i give up and its gonna stay on with the cracks and all!they are both same brand so that's not it...I don't think.goodluck with the paintjob!

Thank you. Finished painting and just need to wait for it to cure before I seal it. Out of interest how long do people leave acrylic paint to cure before sealing?

The one on the left used to have krylon shimmer, but I think I put it on too thick, because it felt sticky. So I stripped it with acetone, let it dry, and sanded the hell out of it. Re-painted with acrylic multi-surface- 3 thin coats. Haven't sealed it, not sure what to use. I like the texture and I don't want it to loose the pearl finish so I might not bother and just touch it up as needed. My brushes are super crappy, but I like the way it looks. I really wish I had a better camera.

My question, too. I tried sealing the button (painted with Krylon chrome spray paint) with polyurethane, but it just melted the paint off. Maybe I didn't wait long enough? I didn't dare try sealing the rest of it.

The acrylic just says two hours between coats but some info on the web suggests that to fully cure acrylic can take several weeks. I used Tamaya gunmetal and it looks great. It was a polished grey but the colour when it arrived was very uneven and my OCD couldn't cope with the print lines [emoji1]

Anyway two coats of gunmetal and problem solved. I have two different sealers I could use - 1311 or plastikote. I think I'm going to try the plastikote I just don't want to ruin the finish by sealing it too quickly

Henry Etta, that's nice work. I had particularly good results from the paint I used. Rustoleum Multicolor Textured in brown, followed by a few light sprays of satin poly by Minwax. I pocket my Peko in my rough denim pockets daily and the body and cap show no signs of wear. I used Rustoleum American Accents 2x black satin, followed by poly on the ring and button and those are not holding up. I'm thinking of getting my next print cerakoted if I can.

So a question for you guys. Most people post either a complete device picture or post when they have an issue. But not a lot of posts on whats working well or maybe a slight tweak/suggestion to improve things. Anybody have any thoughts?

Kick compatibility is really all I could think of. I use my main peko daily. It's really perfect imho.

As Moxi just said, i use all of mine daily too. If I could think of an improvement I would surely tell you.. but I can't think of anything, they go together smooth and I love every bit of them. Just sold my last Reo yesterday. So I've got a Gdna/ DNA 40 large screen coming and 4 Pekos. I am set for a while!

I've put 2 ot these together and use them almost exclusively. I can't, at this point, think of anything to improve or tweak them. I've got a v1 and a v2.2 and both are working perfectly. The only thing is the fire button is rather hard to push, but I'm used to that and it sure won't autofire in the pocket. I know I can remedy that by doing the wire mod and maybe the magnets, which did frustrate the heck out of me trying to get those in and finally gave up. Love these things and hope to get my third one some day. This design of yours, to me, is as close to perfect as it can be.

i absolutely love the shape of this design for my hand size, but with my natural grab, having the squonk hole cut a bit higher (maybe just a couple mm) would be quite a bonus, as i often squonk & vape at the same time. i don't have the strength in my pinky to squonk it and i use my ring finger, which does have the strength with the vapage bottles ... not so much with the kit bottles.

what finger does everyone else use to squonk?
