Make sure you seal that yellow well. If it's like other light colors, it will be a magnet for dirt from your hands.

Thanks for the advice Rossum.
Just put it all in the bag for now. Will get to the sealing and maybe painting and clear coating the black buttons and ring chrome or brass ( haven't decided yet) till Kata's part run goes live.

I tried black RIT.... It came out blue..... (but it was the liquid version).

i dyed in the crockpot this morning with black dye and vinegar and yep, it's blue :-[
kinda like a medium-dark denim though, so that's not too bad. i should dye/paint the ring and button lipstick red - maybe go for that rosie the riveter look ??
heh.

The countdown is on... Just waiting on the 2nd magnet's glue to dry... This Shapeways print required a lot of scraping, sanding and filing etc... Had some extra parts ... 2 springs, a couple o-rings and a nut ... will find out if it works in a couple hours... :) I added an o-ring under the top magnet in the button cap to get the poles closer.

Would that be this SS tubing?

Stainless Steel 316 Hypodermic Tubing, 15 Gauge, 0.072" OD, 0.054" ID, 0.009" Wall, 12" Length: Industrial Metal Tubing: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I would like to give this a try, but I don't have a local "Tube Mart" so I have to order online. :p

Yes that number h0072009t316who happens to match what's on container that I've been using pieces from and I got my SS tube from Amazon.

Any similar size should work. A slightly thinner wall would be easier to feed through the section pinched by the bottle cap.

This round got Minwax oil-modified polyurethane clear gloss (not in a rattle can)... I don't know how well it'll hold up yet. I thought I'd try it because it's an easy water cleanup. I used cheap little foam brushes to apply it.

The shells have been sitting for a few days after the last coat and I did wipe the Peko down tonight with some rubbing alcohol and then some SS 409 cleaner just to see if either had some effect. I didn't scrub but I noticed no change to the feel or sheen.

Both buttons can be adjusted for throw length and push pressure...its more a matter of the look when the button is not being fired. Some like it sitting high, others are low riders...

Just FYI, the low rider button is difficult to adjust because..... it's low. Duhh... but still it would have been nice to know before I ordered a bunch of them. I like the look, but if you want to be able to adjust it without breaking out some needle nose pliers then go with the taller one. On the plus side, once it's adjusted how you want it, you really don't change it, and the low button looks better in my opinion. :D

Merlin21 and Happivappi posted up an an inexpensive BF ready Zenith over at Angelcigs. I got a unit to test out the squonk action. There are two pre-drilled holes in the center post that look about .75 to 1 mm and the BF screw adaptorhas a 1.5 mm hole. The two holes in the center post are 1.5mm off the base, so it wont have complete drainage in some cases. So after cleaning one up, which is a must ( I pulled some loose shards of metal out of the post holes and then degreased in dish detergent), I threw Some Mundy Magic Wire in the large post holes and wicked it up.

Squonk action was great! Very little resistance, I think I was getting the full 1.5mm flow potential and suckback was strong. One thing to do if your holes are raised of the atty base is to bed down the base up to the hole with wick material. While you will have more than usual amount of juice/wick material, you will also minimize any leak potential after squonking.

Vape action is nice. More airy than I like due to the larger chamber, but taste is good. The atty is 22mm, so it fits to the edges of Peko, but it looks a bit oversized relative to the small size of Peko. But I really have to say that for under $14 shipped to your door, its hard to beat for an easily obtainable BF ready atty. So I would put this one in the win column if you like this type of vape. Atty size is also a personal preference on look too.

Excellent! Mine is out for delivery. While I don't have anything that will squonk I will test it out with a few builds. Gdeal, if you don't mind me asking, what ohms do you normally shoot for on your builds for the Peko? Like a warm vape so thinking around 0.7 ohms, any issues with heat?
