I have a reprint coming from shapeways on a prototype. If they botch it again, I may pull all models from their site. Its just not worth saving 5 or 10 bucks to go through the headache of numerous customer service emails, taking pictures of offending parts and the extra time to deliver. Sculpteo has been delivering on time and superior product. Actually, I dont think I ever have had a real problem with any of their prints. They always seem to be in between, really good and excellent.

Yeah, but Sculpteo has horrible Alumide prints, and no black detail. For all others they have been wonderful to buy from. Maybe just leave those options up at Shapeways. This post is not self-serving at all....... I am also a turnip.

I wonder if it is how you have the two solder lugs assemble in the top? If the large solder lug is not on top of the small solder lug and the head of the tiny bolt on top too, it potentially could cause some deflection and increase sensitivity Would be great if you could post a pic of the fire button contact area of the mods giving you trouble..

That was my first issue Gdeal, on the same mod I tried using the magnets on. Switched to the light spring and made sure the two solder lugs were assembled correctly per your revision to the build doc and none of them are really giving me trouble anymore. I was just commenting on the fact that my yellow PeKochu is so perfectly fit together that I can adjust the throw to be minuscule if I want to. If I adjust the other ones down to a feather touch there is just enough flex that I can get them to occasionally auto-fire just doing normal things with it. A small 1/4 to 1/2 turn to extend the throw and they are fine. I figure it comes from the 3d printing tolerances and the nature of the material and how occasionally all the stars align and you get one that is pretty much perfect. I'm afraid to ever take it apart in case it will turn into a normal PeKo which while they are perfectly fine, I would lose the most perfectness of it. LOL I'm eager to try your slot cap revision on v2.1 to see if that helps stop the little bit of flex they have or if it's just like most 1-off creations where no 2 are exactly the same (within tolerances) and some fit together better than others. I've had prints where the top cap and shell meet up perfectly with a perfectly even seem all the way around, while others need some sanding/modifying to fit super flush together.

Gdeal, I need to buy a new peko. Should I go ahead or you're preparing something that might be out in few days?

I'm buying from sculpteo by the way. And Ken the alumide of sculpteo for me was beautiful. It is grayish and sealed with a glossy acrylic varnish, it turned out beautiful for my taste. But yes it has more print lines, who cares it looks beautiful.

I remember one mod of TyCreek that is copper in color and had print lines but was so darn sexy.

Around $90. That's if you get into a co- op for the parts. The shell is 60-75

I'd say it totally depends on the options though. Prices have gone up and if you want polished (which I recommend) and a color you are looking at $80 + $6 shipping from Sculpteo.com. So it's very easy to have it cost $110 and if you select alumide as the material you are tacking on some more. (though I don't think you can select alumide as an option from Sculpteo, only on Shapeways). I think $90 shipped is about as cheap as you can go now for a complete built PeKo (hardware kit included in price if you got one from a group buy)

Ken

Spot on.

It was about 230 for 3 full polished white kits and 3 sets of polished black rings & buttons.

Oh yeah it definitely does depend on the options. I thought I wrote that in my post.. but I left that out. I was just telling him bare bones option. And yeah, you definitely want to get in a co-op parts buy, or you will be paying much much more.

i wonder if it's tied in to the survey email address somehow or if anybody can use that code :?:

guess we'll find out :D
I was just wondering that also. I ordered mine 3 days ago and didn't realize I could get a % off.. I ordered BEFORE I thoroughly read this thread. Maybe I should order another and use the discount. Ha.. I just might!

Inswva- how many days did it take to print & ship?

Mox- you said you ordered a while back and still haven't got them?

Man, this could be a bummer. I don't have much for patience. I just really want to get down and build something. The most I've "built" is my Reo's fuse mod/ brass firing pin/ bottle mod, ha!
