I actually soldered my bolt and nut to the lugs cause I got tired of them coming loose. With that said next go around I will either use wire or make a solid single piece out of some BeCu. My 2c.
Yeah I was gonna do that til I thought about the button and the constant up and down movement.. so I opted for the wire cause that isn't stiff like the lugs and now my button is always working and very smooth.

I don't see any for $12, all the Derringer's currently are $8.98. So is there another set of them somewhere or have they just dropped the price that quick already? Anyway, I ordered one of each copper, brass, SS and black all with the SS center pins.

FYI, not sure if any of you saw my post on drilling center pins, but I have a pretty easy way of doing it that is very accurate with a drill press. You use aluminum or lexan (something easy to press the pin into), lock it down tight in a drill press clamp and ensure it is clamped to the press table too as it cannot be moved during the process. Drill a hole in the material a few hundredths smaller and use the drill chuck head to press the pin down into the material. Switch to your tiny bit and bore it extremely slow with lots of cutting oil. If the pin starts to turn, just let it sit and cool (or use microduster turned upside down to cool). Anyway, this method lines up not only the x & y axis', but also the z which is the hardest to do by eye (pretty much impossible truly accurate since you cannot look directly above the bit). But since I do no have a lathe, which would be the best way, this method works great and is dead on.
any chance you would post some pics or a video of this drilling?
please and hank you.

sincerely,

So, are the parts kits compatible with this new 26650 Peko?
:0 26650 peko!? I think I just shat myself. I love my 18650's and my Peko for its size. But wow, a 26650 peko!!!???? I have all but one 22650 battery and I have only charged it once. Their freakin massive and you can literally vape for days. (Depending on your ohms, that is) for all you nuts vaping .00008

I can't wait for pics of this legendary 26650.

I asked him to. Not sure if he wants it released to the public until at least one person has built it..... 2pak2zero

Oops! I was just shopping and there it was. Of course, I ran straight here to say look look everybody.

Guess I missed that memo.

Oops is right 2pak2zero ....that link wasnt supposed to be live.

Ok...so there is a Peko 26650. Ken is the Beta tester. The device is 89mm x 49 mm X 29 mm. It works just like Peko and uses the same parts, but it has two extra longer solder lugs to make up the difference in internal size. None of the usual Beta guys had a 26650 set up and I dont have any 26650 batteries either, so I havent tested the print yet. Anyway, if anyone has a Peko 2.1 hardware kit and wants to join Ken as a tester, PM me and I can send you the two extra lugs.

This was on the back burner for a while. I should thank Ken, (thanks Ken!) because he push me a bit to finish this up and update to the 2.1 style.

Here are a couple renders from the CAD.

Thats just my model for the Peko 6ml bottle. Vapage bottles will fit if you want more capacity. Standard 10ml bottles are too short and while the 15ml version could be made to fit diagonally, I would have needed to add to the height of the device too, those suckers are 78mm tall.

How many ml can a typical 26650 go through on a charge?

I dont know about that but if we can somehow fit 10ml bottle in there itll be golden :)
Whats the dimension we are working with for the bottle area ?

If I was going to redesign for the 10 ml, I would go straight to the 15ml and just add height. (The vapage bottles are 9ml and will fit the current device) A 15ml device would have about the same width as the 26650 side.

That would be nice too but how much height addition you think ?
If 9ml works ok its great but i thought it would rattle in there with the extra space no?

If you look at the first render the whole mod is not larger, the front is pretty much the same. It just tapers back to allow the larger sized battery. Since the battery is the same height all that is needed is to accommodate it's girth. LOL

Like it's little brother it's going to be the most compact 28650 bottom feeder around. Not that there is a whole bunch of competition. How many mechanical 26650 squonkers are out there?
