I know this isn't the right thread to discuss this, but since we have already dived into a few time, found out something interesting tonight that I thought I would share. My Derringer was too hot for me on the DNA40 as I run full 40 watts and 3mm coils at around .18 ohms and nickel. Since I didn't like it, just tossed it of to the side as is. The other day, think I grabbed to see what it looked like on the Peko (and love the look on a peko) and/or maybe take pics. Never did change out the coil. Not thinking I started using it. Awesome....hits like a freight train. Never dawned on me until tonight that I still have the nickel coil in there. So does anyone else run a pure nickel coil on a mech? Or did I make a stupid mistake and come up with something cool? Either way, it is cool and news to me. I am sure battery life is going to drain quick, but it ain't died yet. So we will see. But was curious if others do this?

I have never tried nickel, period. Didn't think it would fire on a mech! Interesting to say the least. Is nickel way more expensive than a roll of kanthal? I use Temco. Mad cheap and free shipping..

Got me a Derringer. Oh yeah and it's up and sqounking! Thanks DrunkJ for the inspiration! I was waiting on my fat daddy order to get here, i have a few stainless posts and bottom fed ready m2 posi screws coming. But I couldn't wait so I ripped apart my Rogue which is very close in spec's with the Derringer. The center post and screw on the Rogue was already prepared for b/f. So I ripped out the copper post that came in the Derringer and replaced it with the Rogue post. Fills and Drains well and hits like a freakin train!

I have build mech mods before, but building regulated is new to me.

Just realized what you said Geo. The Peko is fully mechanical. The "GDna" is the regulated with the chip. So you are looking for the Gdna, not the Peko. There is no such thing as DNA Peko! I just re-read your post and realized what you said.

Perhaps it would be better to wait for a DNA40 squonker to come to market. Will see what transpires in the bottom feeder thread...I know a few guys have modded to add DNA 40.

Yep your welcome. The Peko is already as small as it could possibly get and there is literally only room for the battery, bottle and a few nuts n bolts haha. The tolerances are so tight but that's why I love it! It's an 18650 with a 9mL bottle and it's not much bigger than my Reo 18490! I sold a Reo to fund another Peko!
