Woo hoo mines just started printing. Reading through the build instructions I am a little confused about the magnets though. Am I right in thinking that the top magnet glues onto the bottom?

If I understand your question the magnets don't glue together. One goes in the internal frame and the other goes into the base/shell. The magnets attract each other which holds the two parts together. Glue the magnet into the internal frame at the bottom opposite the threaded rod. Then, stick the other magnet to that magnet using only magnetism, NOT glue. Then, put a drop of glue into the space at the bottom of the shell and slide the two parts together. The magnetism keeps the bottom magnet in place while you install it. The drop of glue hold it into the bottom when you separate the two parts. The top magnet does not glue into the bottom.

Guess what I just found out? The leaf spring DOES in fact drop when you short the mod. I was rebuilding my Derringer 5 minutes ago, left a bit inside the one coil and accidentally pressed the button, my outer shell was off the mod and my battery INSTANTLY fell out and hit the ground. I wondered what happened and looked at the leaf and it was completely flat. Nice!! It does have protection after all!

Thanks that makes sense

Yes I did. Good price, but the time factor seems extensively longer.

For my 4 Peko I wasn't in a hurry so I chose economy level... the day after I ordered it showed in print, so I was excited, but mine now has also been in printing stage for 5 days. Apparently economy level means it takes a week or two to print haha. Oh well for $45 I couldn't beat it.

When I recently ordered my 2nd one I switched between regular & economy and the shipping date extended a week.
Since I already have one, I didn't think an extra week would matter.
But now a new Nuppin' will arrive this week and it's 2 more weeks until the Peko gets here!

I, too have a Nuppin coming in the next day or so. I just don't have enough mods for all of my attys. I figure now, between 8 and 10 of these Pekos might give a home to enough of my attys that I'll at least be able to use all of my favorites. Just can't afford to buy that many at once.

I do, but I've kinda got atty crazy and love several and would just like a home for each. And many of my favorites, I have duplicates of. That way, I can have one on a mod with another cleaned and built to take it's place. I find that with so few mods, I might take off an atty to try another and love it, then the poor other atty sits forever without being used.

Jeeeez, I would need an awful lot more mods (10 now, with 20+ RDAs split between Kamthol & NI200)

I tend to dedicate joose to atty's and atty's to mods when I find a combo that just works together perfect for my vape style. In part why I have 40 mods +/-, the rest of it being changing gear completely when something I liked better came along. G6 to Sigelei to ProVari to GP PAPS to Reos (+Pekos) with a Don, a Donkey and a couple of others tossed in. I mostly only use the 12 Reos now days and have around 30 something bf atty's. Why 2 Peko's are due today, 2 more in the works and why there will be more Reos. Most days 10-12 of the Reos are in service... today 11 of them are.

UPS dropped off the printed parts for what'll be Peko V2.2 #1 and #2... polished black and white. Ordered 3/17 - delivered 3/31. :)

p1-2.jpg

Need to go find/buy some Krylon #1311/Loctite Super Glue I guess, stop by storage for other supplies/tools. I think I will do the black one first and just leave it black. Bought the white one in case it gets painted. Hope to get started fairly soon so I know whether to order 2 more for the other 2 kits. How soon depends on how other issues go before I can run the errands and start on it.
