I built a shed to get away from it all (you can see the slope I live on...but still worth the effort...took a year of weekends):
Build yourself a shed and the whole damn family just takes over. Guess you shouldn't have made it so nice, huh?

The wife likes to sit on the deck when I am doing manly things, so she has some chairs and a table for a wine glass. The kid comes and goes like the wind or a bad penny depending on the day but the dog is always there.

So what exactly has happened to this thread? Is there no one out there using the 18650 Peko anymore? Anyone ordered up a Peko+ yet? Way too quiet in here!!!

Traffic has definitely died down with G gone :(

I'm carrying mine everyday but no + for me at this point, too many other things demanding my vape allocations at this point.

I think the + will be my next device. I have not had one problem with my 18650 Peko and it is a daily carry for me. The 26650 on the other hand is another story all together. Just can't figure that one out. I think the form factor, size, and performance of the 18650 is just unbeatable out there for what it is... I do miss not seeing G around though. I think its time for him to come back to us!!!

My 18650's are my daily drivers too. I still have one that I haven't built yet. I just really miss the daily info sessions on this thread. It's too bad that G just vanished. His input and encouragement here was an inspiration and certainly leaves a big void, being gone.

i did a float a couple days ago with a friend and the malemate. about 2 miles into the 8-mile float i got sucked into a fallen tree and flipped. i ended up losing my ugly abstract peko and a rogue to the elk river.

i was sad, but glad to be alive and able to tell the tale. heh.

the friend we went with was visiting from out of state, who also had ordered several of the pekos when we were all getting our initial kits. she had brought two of her leftover kits, which she was not sure she was going to build. she gave me one of the kits before we even went on the float.

it's weird cuz it's like she could look into the future and knew i was going to lose one of mine. soSoSO very kind and generous of her. then after the float she gave me the 2nd kit. she knows these are my favorite vapes of all time. what a gem she is.

they call a float here when you are on a vessel that is not an inner-tube, (that's called tubing) so it can be a canoe, raft, or kayak, or ??
we were each in our own kayak. the only losses were the peko and my coverup. not bad really cuz i also had a backup peko in a waterproof container, a cooler, and my cellphone in a waterproof case around my neck.

i was able to work my way down the limb and get to the opposite shore where the other two had gathered up the kayak/oar and other things as they floated down.

At least you're alright, and all was not lost. My first Peko is a v1 and it's never been painted. Looks awful, but still works like a champ. I take that one especially when doing really dirty or hazardous work. If it gets lost or destroyed, not a devastating loss.

Sorry to hear about your loss and glad to hear about your gain, Brenda... My 18650 is definitely showing some wear and tear as of late and I really want to tear it apart and refinish it, but it just works so good I hate to... I think I will wait until after I get my Peko+ to do that. I am just about ready to order it and send the parts for Cerakote this go round...

my first one is still my all time favorite too (which was not with me that day), so it worked out okay.

@muzichead i would not take the 18650 apart either if i were you. it's probably got a *well-seasoned* look, which is well-deserved. even after 4 years and prior to the peko, i was STILL spending too much money trying to find that perfect mod for my habits and likes. after the peko came along, i had not bought a mod since nov. or dec. 2014 ... well until the other day when i ordered a smokeless owl - just for floating. (learned my lesson heh!) the peko simply fits the bill for me and i have become a content vaper ... FINALLY!

with that said, what are the differences of the peko & peko+? if it has been posted here, i missed it. i looked on the livewire site, but didn't see anything. maybe i am looking in the wrong place ...
