Mike has said the price would be a little higher this time around. He hasnt said how much. His overhead is going to be more so of course the price also has to go up. It is also still a little way down the road. Not sure how far as mike is avoiding a time table until he gets a few tested to see if he needs to redesign anything.

Mike if Im wrong or missed anything correct away :p

Mike, I have not read the whole thread. I am wondering, though, if you considered an 18350 battery or reducing the tube size so 26340's don't rattle?
Just a thought.

Let me look into it DOC , I did not plan on it but that might be a good idea !

After looking at the design I would have to change to many things to make it happen , the PCB would have to change the thread sizes on the tube etc. etc . not likely to happen ! this sets into motion a whole train of changes

I think part of the problem is the diameter of protected 16340's can vary greatly. I have seen many battery tubes where some batteries fit and some don't - often mainly because of how the protection circuit is applied and the jacket wrapped around. I would rather have a tube where some batteries are a bit "rattley"(which is fixed easily with a slip of paper) then have batteries not fit at all or have to try to "jam" them in.

Ya I Am on the edge of space and size , like I said it would require a complete redesign ! and with the battery life we are getting I dont see a HUGE advantage vs 16340's

The specs I see are 18.5mm _/- .5 mm so you need 19.5 mm clearance ! I am at 18.0 mm right now , this will effect the threads etc. etc. sorry not happening right now

I am sooooo close on the Buzz Pro that I do not want to go down that road now ! , we are on the verge of ordering tubes etc. the final PCB design is coming in 7 days and the final tube design is almost there ! we are working out final production ideas and pitfalls so we have a clean easy to assemble bullet proof design .

I am also looking at redesigning the look of the new top cap for a nicer look and bigger juice well like the 510 top cap with the rounded juice well

My thought if not too late and you're using the led setup again. When I take a toke I see a red light and think the batts are going. I'll turn it around hit the button, look, OK. If the red is on top then you'd see blue until the red grows brighter. Just my 1¢, sorry Mike I sent the other penny to Grandma.
