Hi,
I've got an eGo T and had been using the semi-clear cartrides. All went well for a while and it was helping getting off analogs. I never fill them more than half way. But then the E-juice started getting into the mouth end of the cartridge and then onto my tongue. Even brand new out of the celophane wrapper the same thing happens, consistently. So today in the mail new cartridges came and also I got a 5-pack of Smokymizer CE-3 cartomizers, hoping the cartomizers would solve the juice on the tongue problem. Geeeeez. The same problem. The e-juice comes up the center tube of the cartos even more than the cartridges it seems.

What gives?

Is there some thing or some brand where this isn't a problem.

Do I need more heat(atty LR maybe), bigger battey(voltage)? I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Thanks

...the drip tip used with a carto will help keep the juice out of your mouth...with a stuffing carto like the Boges, you should never have juice in the center air tube unless you severely overfill it...giving a little blow on them(after filling or topping up) will clear the center air tube and the drip tip will make a very nice mouth piece as well...much better than putting lips directly on a hot carto...........

p.s. for the Boges, any 510 drip tip should work...available from most vendors............mj

The drip tip sure does help a lot. And as you you said madjack, draw a little slower.

MVKS, I stuffed a little piece of paper towel in the bottom of the drip tip and experienced the following. Not very far down the road with some moderately strong puffing, the paper towel quickly caught the droplets and then wicked the juice into my mouth from the towel fragment. Can't say it's a success. Just have to draw slower I guess. Hard for me to break my old addict habits. But with drip tip trick itself I think it will help me keep off those little Res cigars I was smoking. Can taste food again and stomach problems seem to be improving.

Re Boge and other stuffing cartos - here is how I fill and clean up and settle 1ml cartos. I use thin clear juices only (I use mostly 80PG/20VG and I avoid all carto-clogging dark, opaque or cloudy juices that drop flavoring sediment). I always use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece. Occasionally the inside of my drip tip gets a bit damp with juice and I can taste that (you can wipe that put with a pointed bit of tissue) but I don't get whole drops of juice in my mouth.

----
The carto has a 1ml capacity. You need to aim towards putting 1ml in. I hold a tissue on the threaded end hole (or put a carto cover's spike in the hole), tilt the carto and drip in 18 drops (waiting longer for the first few to soak in), Then I wait 15 seconds. Then I see how many more it will soak in easily (usually 3-6, occasionally more).

Then I clean it up - clean threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue and puff into threaded end to clear the air channel, then while still pointed down I just touch a soft bit of tissue to the top of the stuffing to sop up excess (to help prevent leaks). If you think you really overfilled, touch the tissue while tilting carto down and puffing into the threaded end.

Then I let the carto settle. I use juices with 20% or less VG so 15-20 minutes of laying it on different sides and on end is plenty of time for every bit of stuffing to get damp.

While vaping - any time the vapor seems light, dry, or tastes the tiniest bit off or loses flavor, or if the carto is getting abnormally warm, I add liquid. I also occasionally look at the stuffing (especially before putting a fresh battery on or before going out) and if the top of the stuffing looks white, I add some juice. No settle needed when just keeping the carto damp. And if you do not keep it damp or if you use juice that is too thick (too much VG) you will singe the carto and that adds a bitter taste. I use a simple plastic or delrin drip tip in place of the end cap so it is easy for me to remove that to look at the stuffing or add juice.

Smokymizer use a little rubber tip that suck IMO and Ego-T atty and carts I have no experience with. I can tell you this, I use cartos and a drip tip and never get juice in my mouth. Occasionally I directly drip on to attys using a drip tip and I never get juice in my mouth. I recommend trying a 510 what ever brand regular carto and drip tip. See how you like it.

Get new atomizers, there is nothing you can do with the basic cartridges to make it stop flooding. I used mine for a month or so when I first got it before this starting happening. I assume that when the power of my atty was become compromised it started flooding and I was drinking liquid. I would suggest getting steel ce2s to stick on it, as long as you keep those sealed properly they never leak or make you ingest liquid.

also could be that you're sucking too hard, it really should be a relatively light draw. press the button, wait a second or two, then start inhaling lightly for about 4-5 seconds.

also if your battery is not getting fully charged or is bonked and not giving enough voltage you will subconsciously start drawing harder to compensate for getting less.

obviously if more than one battery is doing the same thing and you're charging them for the appropriate time its probably not it.

using drip tips on cartomizers should be pretty much a necessity.
