i have a total of 4 of these. 1 is an EVOD and it is leaking terribly out of the battery end when i blow through the mouthpiece. it did this almost immediately, i think i had vaped less than half a ml with it. (all my juices are 50/50). the other 3 are mt3s and 2 of them are now, after a couple days, having the same problem with leaking. the other one (oddly enough, the first one i got and the one i have used the most) still works like a dream. i don't get it. i am thinking i should just try a different brand, i hate to waste the money on this one if 75% of them start leaking right away.

is there anything i can do to save these? i have not overfilled them and there is no liquid in the air tube, i have cleaned it with pipe cleaners and q-tips. perhaps try replacing the atomizer heads on the leaky ones?

i use ego-c twist batteries, if that matters.

It could be that the heads are not tightly screwed in or one of the rubber o-rings are not in place. Mine leaked before, due to the head somehow came loose while refilling, so now I always make sure it is screwed in tight after every refill.
By the way, are they authentic EVODs or are they from fasttech? My fast tech ones did leak a lot and I think it is because the metal tube is not long enough on the inside.

I don't own an evod but I do have a Kanger T3 and I haven't had this problem but here is a video I found that might be helpful:

Fix to the gurgling leaking EVOD - YouTube

And this one on the fixing the T3 leaking has a rather lengthy intro, he actually starts talking about fixing the T3 at about 6 minutes in, but you might just find this helpful:

Hopefully you can find a solution for your problems...good luck!

I am currently using an EVOD. Do remember that whenever you open the clearomizer some liquid tends to get into the pipe which could result in liquid coming out of inhaler and possibly down to the battery.

I also started getting some leaking problems and used to get liquid straight into my mouth. In my case it was the flavor wicks. After some time the flavor wicks started getting separated into thinner strands which lead to a lot of leaking. I replaced the wicks with hemp wick which took care of the leaking.

You will find lots of material on flavor wicks and many videos on youtube on how to replace the wicks.

Hope this helps.

Blowing into the mouthpiece on bottom coil tanks also tends to make them leak like mad. I did it with an EVOD and my Protank as well as some awful wickless tank that I thankfully got for free. When you blow into them, is pushes juice right out for some reason. Also make sure your wicks are entirely contained. If one little strand of wick gets into the threads, it will wick all the juice out and it seems like a massive leak.

You could try completely disassembling them including removing the O-Rings, and then soaking everything isopropyl for an hour or so. Then rinse with warm water, and allow everything to air dry. After drying reassemble, and make sure not to OVERTIGHTEN them. They will leak if you overtighten any of the parts. I have had some leak because the were overtightened.

That was a cool video! I'm gonna try that now with my EVOD.

Replace, or better yet add to the flavor wicks using cotton shredded from a cotton ball or Q-tip (cheesecloth also works). Pull the stem off of the coil assembly, examine the flavor wicks laying across the coil, and add at least one more. This will tighten the draw on the tank. Put it back together and give it a try.

Evods can leak if the coils aren't properly assembled. Replacing them works too.

Also, very low liquid levels in an Evod can cause leaking. I still haven't figured out why that it is yet.

I have four Evods and two MT3S tanks. At one point or another, every one of them has received either a new or rebuilt coil. Even on new coils I add to the flavor wicks, both to improve juice flow over the coil and to avoid leaking problems.

I kind of like that double-seal approach!
Haven't had any leaking with EVODs, except for the ONE I got from FastTech...

But i did want to concur - you can't BLOW into an EVOD - or a T3 - juice will come out the battery end.
It's just the way they're designed that you're backflowing if you blow into it.

I've always found the culprit to be a loose coil head, but I still like the double seal to cut down gurgles, and just have more security!

Too much heat with the right/wrong juice will do it as well. You can both caramelize and carbonize the wick, which will stop proper wicking and will lead to both flooding and leaking. When you blow out a bottom Coil, the head must be inverted, otherwise you create a vacuum that will suck the juice into the air tube. So, upside down blowing into a Kleenex from the mouthpiece and out the connection. Try to keep watts around 7 watts to avoid burning. I was vaping around 9+ watts and doing real damage to my wicks, which, in time, a short time, led to leaking, flooding, burnt taste, etc. Juices with a lot of sweet, dark, VG juice will gunk up your coils, leading to poor wicking and leaking, flooding, burning, etc. The flavor wicks are there to enhance wicking, not impede it, and the vast majority of the time, do not need to be removed.
