Did mine around the posts with a SS wick and a 4 wrap of 30g for 1.0ohms. I know micro's are all the rage but,I like SS. Haven't found anything that beats it for flavor. The other thing I like about the SS is that when dripping you don't cross flavors as much. You can really get rid of most of the prior flavor's flavor before adding a new one..

Wow. I'd imagine the ceramic cup is great for SS wicks. On the picture above it looks like the SS going around the post (left in the picture) will be touching the cap when you screw it on. Maybe it's just the picture.... I hope you have an extra Hot Spring just in case of a hard short. :)

I oxidize my wicks very thoroughly. Metered it. The cap may contact it a little but, it freely spins on and off. So maybe not. There's room in there. Have been using it since last night and no heating issues. I did it without a ceramic base as well. Just have to be thorough.

I tried it with my dual coil trident and rushed it. Instant short. That's tricky though and a PITA...

That's a squid I drilled out the center post for my vmod. Works great. Did the same with the trident but, had to use silica until I take the time again to try SS.Just not a fan of silica anymore. Dual coils are dangerous for nicotine intake. Using 12mg and felt like 36mg after 3 draws. I just didn't like the airy draw from 2 intakes.
Testing the trident on a tube

I like it. It's very solid. I might get flack. I prefer the ergonomics of the vmod thus far but, the simple repairable reliable design of the REO is great. I don't see how you could ever break this thing. The rounded sides of the vmod and bottle window placement I lean towards a bit. My first thought was a 1990 volvo 740 with the REO. " It's boxy but, safe"
Both methods of squeezing offer their advantages.
The direct feed probably more reliable but,I have the vmod down pat and no need to regrip or look. Just feel and listen. Really need more time with it to really put together a solid opinion.
Overall happy with my purchase. I know I have a all day, virtually unbreakable device and if it does break someway I can fix it myself. Stuff like that is huge.

Read through. I get it. Nice having someone very hands on. I have the tools to modify. My OCD kicks in with the uneven posts but, realize it isn't awful. Thanks..

I was OCD about the posts too until I realized they are like that for a reason. The ends of the coils will be at different heights.

i'm more OCD about the small hole. ;)

Word. Glad to see ya here Eddie :). Nice lookin builds on your RBAs too.

Thanks man. You should try a SS wick set up. I'd be curious of your opinion. To get the bend just roll tight and solid, then flex, then torch the bend and it will hold. Hold with pliers obviously in the desired shape. Then you can oxidize the rest of the wick...3 times and then I do a juice burn off 3 times...
