Sorry if this has been discussed, I flipped through a few pages and did a search and nothing came up. I got into e-cigs this summer and a few months back ordered some back up batteries and attys for future use. Well, I noticed that I wasn’t getting that much vapor so I decided it was probably time to get a pop in a new atty. So I opened up the pack, screwed it on and went to stick in the cart. To my surprise, the new atty diameter appears to be a little bigger, the cart is a little loose when slipped into the atty and can turn freely. With my older atty’s the carts fit nice and snug and wouldn’t turn unless I provided a little pressure. Plus with the new atty, because it’s bigger if I top off the card and place it on the atty and lay the 510 down it leaks juice. Anyone else have this problem? I guess I can try ordering some more atty’s but it sucks because I bought 5 new ones and they are all like this. They were advertised as the “new atty’s for the 510”. Unfortunately I bought them a few months ago and can’t remember the name of the retailer, it was someone off this site though.

On a side note, do you hear a lot of air sucking when you inhale on your 510? I do and people are surprised as of to how loud it is especially compared to my buddies BluCig. Thanks for any advice or suggestions you may have.

sounds like you bought some of the "improved" 510 attys from innovapor or somewhere like that that offered them. they are like 1mm wider and therefore the regular 510 carts dont fit. you will have to use the ones that came with them. the bottoms of the carts dont extend as deep, since the bridge is higher up in the casing. there is a washer of some sort running along the inside of the atty, covering much of the mesh there.

the atty works fine, it just doesnt fit the regular carts well. i have about 7 of those, and they are good. from what i understand, a supplier in china was misinformed that these attys were a new improved atty. apparently, they are for an other model of 510, (read: off-brand), and some US suppliers bought a lot of them up, believing the misinformation. this has since stopped, and the atty is not as easy to find.

sorry that your experience with them has been....well, strange. there is nothing wrong with the atty, just that it was sold to you as a regular 510 atty when it should have been differentiated as a non-standard 510. supposedly, they were rated to have triple the lifetime. if that's true...whoa! my two regular 510 attys ive been using since mid-june (prodigy since mid august) have impressed me with their longevity. if i get triple the life out of the other ones, a pair could last a year or longer, even at 5v!

The vendor was innovapor and there are some cartridges that fit them. All 901 cartridges do better with these 'new attys' but the one's from Totally Wicked fit snuggly and is what I use for the ones I bought during that same time period. There may be other vendors that sell the same type but it's not a terrible price for 10:

Note, that the cart is separate from the mouthpiece and it is brown where the mouthpiece is black. And these are whistle tips and they look more like a small 801 cartridge rather than the more "normal" 901/510 carts in either "0" style or "D" style. But they are a type of "0" style in that they have the air channels on both sides.

If interested in all of that, :) see:

Don't really hear a lot of air but if your carts are loose that could very well be the problem.

You don't list your location in your profile but if you happen to be close to someone with those type of carts (don't laugh-this happens a lot here) they might bring some over.

As far as the comments on 'bootleg' - the story (and in this case this is fully second hand) is that innovapor got them from Joye via eastmall and was told they were 'new attys' that had a longer life, etc. Innovapor posted that on their forum and people started wondering if they were Joye - Joye denied they were from them. Where the lie lies, I don't know. Innovapor claims innocence and I have no reason to believe otherwise. I think they are Best Ecigs because the look of them are like the ones I just got from them the BE510's and there is no metal mesh at the base of the bridge but a 'stainless washer looking thing' instead. Much like the larger BE112(801 style).

And.... if you either don't want to get the cartridges or would prefer other attys, PM me because I may be interested in the trade.

I believe it was innovapor. I have only ordered from 3 companies and the 3rd one was just recently for juice. I tried the cart that came with the new atty and it is loose too, so that really threw me for a loop. It does vape nice with a topped off cart, the only thing that bugs me is if I have a topped off cart and I lay the 510 down on it's side, it starts to leak juice out and makes a mess.

I will have to try the needle method to see if it roughs up the edges to make them fit better. I'm just a little bummed becuase I have about 40 carts that I cycle through and now none of them fit nice and snug. I guess the only way to sove that is order some more atty's. Thanks for all the advice and tips.
