What kind of tank? If you have another atty does that one work? Not knowing what kind of tank you may be able to pry up the center pin on the tank to make contact or try a 510-510 adapter if no tank works on it then try prying up the center pin on the Evic. Also you need to make sure the surfaces on the center pin of the tank ant the Evic are clean. Use a qtip and alcohol to scrub it. To pry the pin up you can use a very small screwdriver or a bobby pin or paper clip. Be careful to work around the pin and not just pry one side. Prying the pin on the Evic is the last thing to try. If another tank works then it's the tank.

well thats the thing... certain types of tanks will still work. I use mostly carto tanks and none of the cartomizers will screw in (even when not in the tank). I have a nova that wont screw in. the only thing I have that works is my iclear30 (which im not very fond of). I had 1 of my cartos that worked on it until about 20 mins ago - it fell off my desk, the tank popped off and now even that doesnt work.

From what I would think it seems to be an issue with the actually threading and not so much the pin. I'm trying to see if anyone knows anything about getting batteries re threaded or really just any other suggestions.

A common problem with not only the Evic but many Mods. With my Don Mech Mod my nephew tooled a new 510 connector for me BUT it was easy enuff to replace- unscrew old one and screw in new connector.
Many are using the Tank Air Flow Controller for 510 by SMOKtech [gv-SMOKtechTANKAirFlowController] - $3.45 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more Screw it in permanently (hopefully the threads aren't that far gone). If it doesn't screw in tightly try using some fine wire inside the threads- speaker wire, etc.
Realize you will only be able to use 510 threaded accessories.
