I'm going to put my comments in red throughout your quote because I'm lazy and it is to long for me to remember everything otherwise.

On the many good comments regarding Ms. T's Bakery e-juice - especially about the prompt delivery of orders and "delicious flavors", I placed an order on Jan 7.

Both of those things are usually very true. As can be seen from other threads here on the forum she announced ahead of time that she would be closed for Christmas and to move her office.

Quoted from another thread:

Hey there everyone. OK I miss you all so much it is awful.

It is so cold here just like 2 degrees . OMG

Anywho here is the deal on what is going on. First I am getting the past orders out today and tomorrow. What I am going to have to do. Since I am now, not able to get your orders out in a timely manner is.........I will give you until Sunday December 20th to get your orders in before Christmas. Those orders will go out on Monday December 21th.

Here is the bad news! I am trying so hard to keep up with moving, Christmas and my Son that I am going to have to shut down until after Christmas. OMG I hate to do this and thought I could keep up. But I am only one person (not 4) Hee hee.... I am not able to keep up and not keep you all waiting for your orders. I will NOT do that to you all! I just hope that you all don't leave me. But I think it is best for us all that I do this. No excuses at all I just can't do everything at once and assure that I won't make mistakes. So I will have to close down until after Christmas.

So get your orders in Before December 20th and I will get them to you!

As you may know I don't have the internet at my new house until December 24th so if you all have questions please feel free to text or call me at 207-837-3445 that is my cell phone and I always have it. I will check in hopefully everyday until I get it turned on over at the new house.

OH YEAH more BAD news. I am out of French Toast. I bought the company out of my secret flavor!:lol: I won't have that until I re-open.

Oh gosh I hope you all understand.

She stayed closed until January 4th and then reopened. She had a notice on her front page while she was closed letting people know about it. However she did not stop people from making orders while closed down. When she reopened on January 4th I think it was just a simple oversight not to think to put a notice up letting people know that things would be slightly delayed due to catching up on 2 weeks worth of orders.

It's now 5 days later. My debit card was charged, but the order hasn't shipped. I sent an email through their web-site last night asking about my order and it was a little disconcerting to receive a response that sounded a lot like excuses, with a promise to ship it out today.

It's not good business practice to receive payment for an order that almost a week later hasn't even been processed. I'd feel a little better about the whole thing if I hadn't been charged until the items shipped out. I now feel stuck, helpless, without remedy and potentially out some money with no product.

A home based business is still a business - period. Am I wrong to expect a confident, professional effort to proactively resolve order issues with clear communication and satisfactory resolution?

Is this the way most e-cig/e-juice suppliers operate? Or, did I make a bad decision choosing this vendor?

Has anyone else ever experienced a problem with this e-juice supplier?

Yes a home based business is still a business, but unlike a large corporation who has stocks of their product sitting on a shelf waiting to be bought, a single person home-based business that creates each order as it is placed cannot be expected to change their location without any delay in normal business.

You have the right to expect anything you would like to expect but, as I have stated in regards to even other larger companies on this forum, at the same time I would expect people to have the decency to take up such matters with the company/individual first before making a public display of it such as this.

Above you stated that you sent an email last night. So my question would be what time of night did you send the email and how long did it take for you to get a response to that email?

I know from my own experience and the experiences I have seen posted by others that Ms T is usually just about instantly available at most reasonable times and at some not so reasonable times. As an example : a few days back another customer had a question about an order they had placed, and posted on the forum about it, and as it was one that nobody besides Ms T could answer I sent her a message to let her know that someone had a question. This was around 11pm or later. She instantly called me as she was up making orders still and asked me if I would please let the person know to call or text her their order information and let her know what it was they preferred pertaining to their question. This wasn't about a delayed order it was just a question about the amount of nic in her liquids.

I know I am new to all of this and it was my oversight to not order enough juice from cignot with my initial 510 starter kit, but when I placed my order with cignot I received it in less than 4 days!!

I placed the order with Ms. T's the day after I placed my order with cignot. I didn't even have my e-cig yet and I ordered the juice I knew I'd need. The website clearly stated "quick and fresh" - there was no indication that they were not processing or shipping orders. There is nothing that states their practice is to receive payment upon ordering, not shipping.

Earlier this evening when I checked, yet again - I see clearly, in red letters that orders placed now won't ship "until the end of the week or beginning of next week".

If I had seen that a week ago it would have been my decision to shop elsewhere or wait.

As I said above I believe that was a simple oversight that occurred and any one of us could have made the same mistake.

Will I have a problem getting relief and remedy from Ms. T? Should I try to cancel the order and get my money back? Is the product really worth the poor service, lack of proper communication and (I hate to say this- but) disregard for potential future business?

I can tell you that there is definitely no disregard for you or any other customer. She has been working day and night to get orders caught up because she gets upset over having to make people wait.

I'm not sure if you know how but if you go to her profile and then look at her past threads and take a look at how much she used to post on them to be able to be in communication with her customers and then compare that to how much she has been posting lately you will see a huge difference which is attributable to the fact she has been so busy lately.

I can also tell you that I would consider the product worth waiting for. I have not had a single order of liquid from her yet that has not been exactly what I expected it to be and most of my absolute favorite flavors come from her.

At this point I'm certainly reticent to ever place an order there again.

Am I wrong to think telling a brand new customer that you "fell behind" on orders because it was the holidays and you moved into a new house and you're now "playing catch up" - well, sounds like unprofessional excuse-making instead of active customer service problem solving? In the same correspondence I was also "vaguely" promised processing and shipment today, and not only was it not shipped, it's not even processed.

see above quote. Those "excuses" are exactly the same thing she said back before closing so are obviously not just made up excuses to try and appease a disgruntled customer. What may seem unprofessional out of context is actually a single person running a small business who likes to be open and honest with her customers and keep them informed of why what is going on with her and by association their orders. If you look through these forums there are a lot of similar small businesses that are also informative in such a way as that is a difference between dealing with small home based businesses and large corporations.

I'm now almost 4 days analog free and really loving this whole vaping journey. I'm going to run out of e-juice and I don't want to have to resort to picking up analogs while I try to figure out who will reliably ship e-juice quickly as promised on their web-sites :(

I apologize for being so wordy and for sounding so cranky and whiny - I AM cranky and whiny!

Any suggestions? Did I choose a poor e-juice supplier? Do you know of a reliable e-juice vendor who will ship decent product quickly? (not dekang- not liking the dekang so much, want to try something else)

Thanks everyone - I consider you all a huge part of my success to date :)

Remie

Hopefully none of my response came across harshly or rudely as it wasn't meant that way. Just answering the questions you posed as accurately as possible.

I'm sorry that you are worried about running out of liquid as we have all gone through making the switch and I know how much it would suck to have to smoke cigarettes while waiting for liquids.

But I can tell you that I have never had a problem with ordering from Ms T. I can honestly guarantee that the current situation is definitely an exception and not the way that she usually gets things done.

Unfortunately I do not currently have any unopened bottles of her liquids myself. Otherwise I would offer to ship you out a bottle first thing in the morning at my own expense to help you out.

Please just be patient and realize, not just with Ms T but with some other vendors here also, that as you stated you already know that some of these are home based businesses and therefore sometimes exceptions to our normal expectations need to be made just as much of the time exceptions are made by these businesses in the way they treat their customers much better than the way huge companies do.

(p.s. I started writing this probably an hour ago, when there were only 4 replies, and kept rechecking myself and getting distracted so I have no idea what comments have been made since then. And as you can see I too get quite long winded when writing about something that I believe. ;) )

It sure seems she has a good group of followers and that DOES mean a lot. My posts have been insensitive at times and hopefully this mood passes. I'll chalk it up to my brain adjusting to not having the 3999 chemicals it was feeding on with analogs.

I appreciate how many here are so supportive of each other.

Remie, I love your icon!

I want to add my philosophy about customer service: Professionalism and customer service are actually two separate things. Many businesses excel at both, and if you require both then you certainly should seek those businesses out. As for me, I would rather be dealing with a real person, an entrepreneur in the real sense that is actually adding value and wealth to society, then with a giant corporation that has the leverage and assets to be extremely professional with good customer service at all times.

I would rather hear an excuse from a real woman who is a single mother, working hard, in the process of moving then I would hear from a corporation anything about shipping delays real or not. It happens in all aspects of the business world and this is one where you can actually be proud of where your money is going, even if your not happy about the transaction itself.

I'm glad you have decided to "give her a few days"

I disagree with payments not being taken until shipment-every online vendor Ive dealt with has first taken payment, then made processed and shipped my orders.

About Ms T- She happens to have flavors that noone else has. I know other vendors have some of the same names but the taste of her flavors are unmatched. Definately worth the wait IMO.

I know its frustrating waiting this long for your order but I have a feeling once you recieve it you will be very pleasantly surprised ;)

Ms T is a very good E Juice creator and if you want something tweaked she will do it and even make flavors you make up if possible...

Considering the holidays and her being closed, Im sure she had alot of catching up to do. Thats an excuse yes, but its also a reason. I hope you can understand that one woman getting a business going is alot different than buying from a mass producing factory that spits out poor quality product in a super fast manner. Sometimes things are worth a lil extra time and I hope you will not cancel ur order bc I feel you would be truely missing out on an awesome product...

I also hope you report back once product is recieved for your opinion on the juice itself....Just be patient, if she said she mailed it today then Im sure it got mailed. In the future, you will know it may not get sent out same day and be prepared to wait a few days but Im confident you;ll prob want to order from her again ;)

I totally understand and I am definitely going to wait for my delicious sounding juice to arrive :) I certainly have no problem knowing that I'll be charged when my order is placed (I now understand it's a home business and Ms. T has to do business with who she contracts with to handle the credit card processing) - and I will absolutely report back with what I am sure will be rave reviews :)

I'm currently vaping 3 sample sized bottles of Dekang, one tiny bottle of Eco Pure Menthol and have 2 pre-filled menthol carts left. At first I thought the Dekang Cappuccino was *meh*.... the Chocolate? *eh* and the Double Mint is the closest to menthol (I only ever smoked menthol, so it pacifies me) - and at least has a flavor I recognize!

I was just going to swap out my battery, put on the other atty and try vaping just cappuccino... so far, I'm really not impressed or blown away by those juices!! I even randomly mix them together in carts and it tastes the same

I know my taste buds have a ways to go before they totally regenerate, but I can taste my food! I should be able to distinguish coffee flavors from chocolate - perhaps?

I know once it's in the mail it shouldn't take all that long to get here. I'm anxious and excited about vaping something other than *blah* :)

mmmm... Cinnamon Bun :D (I'm looking forward to trying that one!!)

LOL Thye. I spoke with Ms T earlier and from what I understood, she has made this customer's order so she can get it out to them as quickly as possible, which meant she had to push it ahead of some of her other orders who had been waiting longer but she really wants to please and hates for anyone to be upset so I expect she will receive a shipping notice soon :).

You know... I thought the same thing. I was like.. "I like smoking" and "I like bacon" hmm.

As soons as she comes up with "Poached Egg" I'm making an e-McMuffin.

ROFL!! Now that's something I'd want to watch you vape for the first time

If that happens - the e-McMuffin - I want to see a youtube!! hahah!!

Regarding the charged before shipping: I work at an internet/registrar and can say that a lot of shopping cart programs are designed to charge the customer at the time of checkout. Depending on who she is hosted with and her skills with hosting, this may be a default feature and the reason you were charged before the item was shipped.

I disagree with payments not being taken until shipment-every online vendor Ive dealt with has first taken payment, then made processed and shipped my orders.

I honestly thought those two things and almost said something but I never even pay attention to when my card is charged until a few days later when I think to check it (usually after an order arrives).

And damn.... I guess it was closer to 2 hours ago that I started my reply. Wow.

Anyways glad to see you've decided to be patient and give her time. I guess you could probably do without having my whole long previous reply to read now lol

I placed an order tonight but was forewarned by the homepage that it might take a few extra days. If that message wasn't up before, I'm sure it was an oversight. I had a (very frustrating) issue with the order going through, sent a text message and got help within a minute, so the customer service is definitely there.

As for being charged before shipping, I agree with other that this is likely an issue with whatever software/company that handles the transaction. Sure a place like Amazon doesn't charge until something is shipped but they have the resources and volume to do it that way.

I've bought e-cig stuff from a few vendors now & they've all been great to deal with, so I'm sure this will be no exception. I don't think you'll be sorry at all Remie!

Thye-I do the same thing but better late than never-seems the OP now understands Ms Ts situation a lil better and is giving it a shot still...:D

I think shell be quite pleasantly surprised and glad she waited it out ;)

LOL I see that. and hiya ctj. and i'm sure you're correct with that last part ;)

Actually you'd be surprised how much of a difference there will be in your food too once you've been switched from smoking to vaping for awhile. An example I've stated elsewhere: Cinnamon Danish Banana, from Ms T, is my absolute favorite liquid taste so far for vaping. It literally would have me convinced I had eaten a cinnamon bun if my head and stomach didn't know better. My son (19) and his gf(20) who haven't been smoking so long tried it and knew right away what it was. My father who has been smoking for over 40 years, and is finally partially switching to vaping, tried it as one of the first flavors I gave him to try and he would swear up and down that it was gingerbread cookie.

As for the Dekang flavors, I won't put them or the vendors who carry them down, there are some that I truly like and others that I don't at all. But, that being said, not a single one I have tried this far has the strong rich flavor to them that Ms Ts, and some others', liquids do.

I would still suggest just setting aside the ones you don't like right now and trying them again a few weeks down the road rather than tossing them out.

-------------------------------

Also, hopefully she doesn't get mad at me for this, but to give you an idea of the type of person she is and some of the others around here are. I was actually on the phone with her(don't worry she was still working just using her bluetooth ;) ) about another matter when this thread came up. She was very upset and worried about people getting upset about waiting for their orders. It really bothered her to see this post here and had her all worried that people would get impatient.

As we were talking I heard her pc make that lil noise letting her know she had a new email. Well it turned out another customer here on the forum had read this thread and instantly went to her site and sent her an email telling her that they understood that she was in the process of getting orders caught up and that they had placed an order a few days ago themselves and that they don't yet have their e-cig so if it would help her out to get other customers their order faster she could bump their order back in line a couple days. (yes I know that's a run-on sentence. see above where I mentioned being lazy)

That really made her almost happy enough to cry at that moment just seeing that someone was thoughtful enough to even try and have her do that.

Personally I'm a real SOB. But seeing people that are nice enough to do things like that are the things that keep me addicted to this forum and the community surrounding e-cigs.

(p.s. if you read this Ms T. don't get to mad that I told that)

Thanks Drumkicks! I'm guessing you are a drummer? I am too :)

I totally agree with everything you said. I hope everyone understands that it was not my intention to publicly trash anyone, their product or their reputation. I'm very sorry if my original post came off that way.

I also apologize if my post offended or upset anyone at all. I honestly was not aware (I'm learning now) that most, if not all of the reputable and reliable suppliers are home-based very small operations trying their best to meet a growing demand for an otherwise impossible to get product.

I do understand that "things happen". After reading everyone's responses, I am certainly empathetic, understanding and more than willing to wait for what I know will be a far superior product than I have in my hand right now.

I'm a single mom, I struggle every day just to survive and I genuinely have the ability to understand and empathize with everything that comes with trying to do the very best job we can (at everything we have to do) with what we are dealt.

Given the choice, I will always support the small intimate business, I always have and always will.

I hope everyone can understand that I didn't start this thread with any malice, and I certainly hope I didn't create any hard feelings.

:)

Thye, Crashtestjeep, Everyone - I honestly didn't intend (or expect) to cause a problem or stir things up.

When I made my original post I'd looked around and didn't see a thread or board for Ms. T. I apparently didn't look hard enough because had I found and read it, i certainly would have understood and known that everything was fine, just a little behind.

This has been an awesome community. Since I took the plunge and made my first post I have felt welcomed, supported, encouraged, and informed.
I would never jeopardize anyone's reputation and I certainly will stand beside all of you in support of Ms. T and her products.

I will also find a way to pay it forward and do anything within my power to support and help anyone else in this community.

Thank you all so much for not flaming me off the board :eek:ops

I hope you all can forgive me for being uninformed - I truly didn't start this thread with the intention of causing trouble, for anyone.

Hi Remie. :) I placed my order on the 4th, and have not received it yet, either. BUT, I'm aware that she is really, really backed up, and I'm hoping it may have been shipped today (fingers crossed!). Also, I have had exceptional customer service from her (and lots of help from Thyestean!), so I'm not worried that I'm being taken for a ride. I'm very impatient for my order to arrive, but that's because I've heard so many good things about her juices. :)

Im very interested in your opinion after trying as well...ECF is a great place for feedback, good and bad...and Im glad we all have a place to rant, praise, and throw opinions around, even if they arent in agreeance all the time.....I hope you stick around here bc its a great place to spend time and learn about vaping....which Ive found you can never learn enough bc one day away from ECF and u prob missed that someone has invented something great!

Remie I wouldn't worry to much I think most understand- you just can't wait and last week wouldn't be soon enough. (I think it is sort of like someone saying your favorite singer sucks- you really get your hackles up but you don't really dislike the person you are just protective)

I work retail so I can see both sides of these kind of issues. Ms T clearly has a loyal following and they just wanted to defend her and let you know her product is well worth it and that your experience is not the norm for her.
That says a lot for her as a loyal customer base is a must in order to stay in business and it sure shows she has the goods.

btw - I blew out an atty - put on a fresh battery - filled a cart with cappuccino (I'm using the straw-mod), put a drop of it onto the atty bridge, and - OMG hahah - I'm tasting cappuccino! *&&^^@!! menthol!! It's ruined me for all things delicious! This is not bad at all!! :)

Well put!! Thank you!! I like the music analogy too :) Being a musician - that one is totally on point - although, I could debate musical tastes, styles, artists, etc. all day. (shhh... I've been known to totally annoy my friends by ripping apart, for argument's sake, their new favorite band, singer, etc. )
