VG is thicker and does not wick as well.
This is well known and surprisingly not addressed in this thread.
And PG is, as far as I know, much safer than VG so tell your wife to get a clue.

The VG is super thick, creates clouds of vapor, and ... seems to run out quicker. I was using 10ml PG liquid and it lasted about 2 weeks for me (as an average of 18 cigarettes-a-day smoker), but since I swapped to VG, I find it's lasting about 6-7 days. The flavor is fine to me, but I find I'm dripping A LOT more, and now that it's staying below 40 most of the day in Eastern Georgia, it seems to be even thicker and takes quite an effort to get anything out of the bottle. Overall, I haven't noticed a big difference in flavor, but vapor production is far better... it just goes faster.
And I am not going to name names, but some coworkers did a side-by-side comparison with me of seemingly same strength nicotine VG liquids, and we found some suppliers' VG liquid to be MUCH thinner and lack flavor... one of my coworkers is on here (GoG8trs)
