Interesting take. So, if you had a 510 adapter only, what would your second be? 801? 901? My 510 is my daily vapor and I have a Prodigy 510 on order so your take supports what I was hoping. I already have a couple of true 801 atomizers on hand, but I'm not married to the idea of making the 801 my second adapter choice.

Surf, up until Thursday morning, when my Janty Stick (801) kicked the bucket, I had been completely enjoying have both my 510 and JS-801 side by side all day long. The vapes are different. 510 has a tighter draw, and denser, harsher vaper. The 801 is a lighter draw with cooler, lighter, but still prodigious vapor. At any given moment over the past three weeks, I would be hard pressed to say which one I liked best. I ordered a Prodigy 801 plus a 510 adapter, and can't wait to try out both attys on the Prod-bod.

Just out of cursioty steve how do you think the 501 attys are holding up to the 5 volts the prodigy puts out. Ive never used anything but 801s but i was thinking i would like to try a 501 for the smaller profile.
Also is driping easier with a 501 atty, not that i think its hard with an 801 but from what i understand the 501 has an exposed atty that might be a bit easier.

The 401 has an exposed atty. Now that the 510 adapter is out, hopefully the 401s are about a week away. Besides the 801 prodigy, that the other model that I was curious enough to wanna try at 5volts.

Last I heard, the 510 adapters were 2 or more weeks behind so I doubt the 401 will be out anytime this month. When I get my 510 pass I will see if the 306 works with it.

I got the 510 adapter in yesterday. I started using it last night at about 8 and have used it all day so far today.

I thought the 510 at 5 volts would give the same performance as the 510 at 3.7 volts only quicker. I was wrong. The vapor is thicker and the throat it is more discernible. It is not harsh but delivers a throat hit closer to an analog. It does burn juice rather quickly but that is to be expected. The draw seems just about right with not being too tough or too easy.

Overall, I'm very happy, I don't really have a bad thing to say about it. It works well and delivers a favorable vapeing experience...

Good to know, Frankly.

I received a 510 adapter as well, but haven't really given it a fair shake yet. I've been far too busy enjoying the dripping experience on the Prodigy 801. We are still waaaay into our honeymoon phase.:hubba:

I don't think my 510 adapter has shipped yet. Kind of hoping to add a non-regulated switch to go with it. I'm still using the 801 and 901 attys I started with. No mass dying yet anyways, just occasional flooding. Try not to leave your PD standing on end with a full cart if your using carts.

Has anyone tried their 510 adapter with the 306 atty? Since there won't be a 401 adapter (at least not soon) maybe could satisfy those wanting to dip.

Ordered my Prodigy 901 kit on 6/26 and added a 510 adapter to the order a few days later. Just recieved everything today.

One set of batteries were shrink wrapped so I am presuming the set of batteries that were not shrink packaged are precharged.

I went to town right away and must say i am a little disappointed in this device.

1)The 510 adapter is an extremely tight fit and requires some force to screw on the atomizer. Not anywhere near as smooth as screwing on a regular battery.

2)There is no slots on the Prodigy battery cover to aid in removal. I thought i read somewhere that there was slots to aid in removal but required a paperclip or dime to remove the battery cover. I will search for that thread, i know I saw it somewhere. With as often as the battery cover will be removed you would imagine there would be some aid to removal and i read that there is supposed to be one.

3)The 901 adapter is loose and the center section spins. i had to attach the atomizer to the adapter while the adapter was disconnected from the device so i could hold it from spinning and get the atomizer to fully seat on the adapter. The 510 adapter doesn't spin like this, so i know one of them aint right, i am going to presume the 901 is not supposed to spin.

4)Paint job is scratched, right out the box. I know Steve mentioned several of the last batch had fallen off the rack at powder coating. Guess i got one of those and apparently the small scratches went unnoticed.

1. This is a first ... Haven't heard of people having to forcefully put in an atomizer. If it doesn't thread due to a burr or wrong threading size, it won't thread at all, so not sure where to help you out with this one.

2. There have never been slots on the battery cover. The only aid needed in roughly the first couple days. Over that amount of time, the threads break in as well as the spring itself. It soon becomes like butter. Slots (more-so half moons) have been added to the Protege, and will likely be added to the Prodigy later.

3. If the adapter is loose = Email Casey for a replacement. Adapter are pressed in, therefore shouldn't move freely.

4. The tubes that fell off the rack were actually USB PT tubes. They were not sent out, instead, the Paint that was already on them was burned off, the tubes recleaned, resprayed, and rebaked ... :) ... If you feel the scratches (and no, we really try not to release anything cosmetically not up to par) You can also email Casey to get a replacement tube if you'd like.

No worries on the paint. I'm sure at some point i will end up doing way worse than the minuscule flaws already present or giving it my own personalized wrap of some sort.

Thought it came with a slot to remove batt cover, maybe that was a suggestion i saw in another post. Its a good suggestion and think you should implement this change asap. Although it is becoming easier to remove the cover as we speak. Chalk me up for an upgraded cover once they are available

The 510 adapter doesn't seem to be burred, checked for that right away. It feels more like a flat spot. You can spin the atomizer 3/4 of a turn then it gets hung up and requires some force to get it past that spot. The atomizer will seat to the bottom but it definitely doesn't spin on freely. Some attys are worse than others. I will hang on to it for a bit and see if it works itself out after some use.

901 adapter spins in the center, requires you to remove adapter and hold the center from the backside to get the atomizer on then put the adapter on, load batteries and add cover. Kind of a pain in the .....

Overall it is a great device. I was just a bit bummed with the small issues after waiting so long for it. I will get with Casey and work out some swap action on the 901 adapter for now.

By the way, can you possibly locate a kissbox classic (302) atty and test and see if it will work on a 801 adapter, if it does i will order one.

Thanx for the quick reply

Im wondering this too because when i compared my 520 to 306 i actually preferred the 306 and felt it had a bit less throat hit but more visible vapor which i prefer and it worked wonderfully on my modified passthrough at 5.0 volts awesome. plus the ability to dip rather than drip was nice while driving is nice as well.

I can't believe any of you drip or dip while driving. Incredibly dangerous either way IMO. Load carts for when you're behind the wheel. I don't need you slamming into me and potentially killing me because you didn't have the self control to stop dripping or dipping while you're driving somewhere.

Seriously 3 to 4 drips are a lot less than texting this message - C'mon - and who uses carts.... lol

None of my Janty 510 or 306 attys fit the Prodigy. It threads for one turn and then stops. I don't want to jack up the threads so I stopped.

Interesting. I have one Titan style atomizer and it does the same thing. 1/2 turn and then it hits the wall. But it's only one out of 7 I've tried on the Prodigy. In those seven are Titans, thin band Jantys and "Scorpion" red band versions.
