My prodigy stopped working today.

I've checked the batteries and they are fine. I don't have a second atty to test it (the last one I had died when my 901 battery almost caught fire in my pocket). I cleaned out the one that came with it, thinking it might have been flooded, but only got a little juice out of it. I've been letting it drain out every night and have been extra careful about the amount of juice I put in.

I've emailed PS about it, but I was hoping someone on the forum would have a suggestion. This is the only working ecig I have and I really don't want to go back to analogs (yucky).

Any ideas?

Hey qurgh ...

Without a 2nd atty to test, diagnosing is really difficult ... If you are within our atomizer warranty period, we would be happy to shoot you a replacement. I do suggest you order atleast 5-10 atty's to keep on hand at ALL times. These things are NOT built to last forever, and having extra on hand is cheap insurance to keep you up and vaping at all time :)

Cash is right. Atomizers can go out without notice. Best to keep a few spares on hand.

My prodigy is now burning the plastic on my carts. Even after a fresh top off, it melts the plastic on my carts. Taste's AWFULL! Does anyone else have this issue?
And for the record...no I am not hitting it time and time again. It will burn the plastic with the first hit even if I have not hit it for a while.

Are you aligning the cart with the atomizer when you stick it on?

What kind of atomizer are you using e-gazm? 801 or 901?

There's a good chance you have some gunk build up in the atty. I would suggest blowing it out real real good ...top off with 4-5 drops and put the cartridge back on... It may be trying to burn this gunk build up, thus making the atty even hotter and burning the plastic... I have to blow my atomizer out atleast once a day to keep the burning taste at bay ...

Which Prodigy for the most vapor with the shortest drag.? I don't inhale immediately. I take the vapor (or smoke) into my mouth and inhale as I move my SD or eCig away, so I can't take a 10 on 12 second drag without looking like a blowfish

A 901 Prodigy would be the one for the shortest drag and most vapor ... 2-3 seconds is enough to get the job done.

Im guessing your using an 801 from puresmoker they seem to have a rather high bridge (the part that absorbs the juice and brings it to the atomizer) keeping the atty nice and wet with juice seems to help with the plastic part of the cart from melting. Im not sure if its just me but even doing that it seems that slowly the plastic starts to melt a tiny bit a time if you use the same cartridge with the same atomizer alot.
personally i just switched to dripping the high bridge atomizers and when i use carts i just use the shorter bridged 801s
have to remember this is a higher voltage device so some adjustments might need to be made with different atomizers.
I also recently just started dripping allmost exclusivly and i can say pretty conclusively that i like it much better then using carts. Also the rubber tips that come with steves atomizers are really nice and dont get really lose over time like the hard plastic ones that come with other carts.

I am sing the BE-112 from Best. I have a million of them (I am a dealer) and the burnt plastic thig did not happen at first. In fact, for the first week or two I could vape until the cart was almost dry. The PD was great at using all the liquid in the cart. Now I get that burnt taste if I do not have it fully topped off. Just weird. Still love the damn thing though! I think I might need to get the 901 adaptor. :thumb:

I'm having a really wierd issue with my PD and PT. I'm using the same atomizer right now on both and when I try it on the PT it's awesome and is just like the day I got it. But when I try it on my PD (no not directly after using it on the PT), I get a burnt taste to it. Any ideas?

Gunz ... Try blowing it out bud. It really really helps .... It gets all the excess crap out ... Some fresh liquid, and its a beautiful thing again :)
