Will it vape Identically to the P1 with the 5v resistor using two tenergy 3v batteries. I assume that is what this one is designed to do?

But you are going to use a different method to bring the voltage down.

Don't care how you do it but I am looking for the same vaping experience as the Prodigy V1 with the 5v resistor. Just a smaller sleeker unit.

Will this unit provide this?

Yes, it's odd. How can there be a Bare Bones kit since no one has the adapters?

Can that be the price for the Base Kit - $20 cheaper than the Protege???

The bare bones kit makes sense, actually. On the 'not yet really visible' Prodigy V2 product page, there is a dropdown menu to select the adapter you want included.

Also, the product description reads like this:

Base Kit:
1 x Stainless Steel Battery Housing (Machined Tube/Switch/End Cap/Spring)
1 x Adapter (510 - 801 - Ace/901)
1 x Product Manual (Print/PDF/CD

So, it seems that the base kit includes one adapter. At least in theory it does. ;-)
