I do believe it's time for me to pick up some nic base as serious as this stuff is getting. I've been meaning to get into diy anyhow so there's no time like the present.

It's super cheap and as easy as making a cake:
Find recipe
buy Ingredients
Mix Ingredients to recipe spec
Wait for it to "cook" (with juice some times it's ready after mixing, other times you need to give it time for everything to combine - or use one of the accelerated "steeping" techniques)

I spent $70 or less on my first order and had enough base and flavors to mix more than 250mls of juice.

Yeah. I've been getting 300ml for $40ish is why I've been lazy and not doing it. I think if I pick up the base in bulk with a higher mg nic and just cut it, the cost would be worth it.

I bought a ton of flavorings to try different blends, way more than I got enough base for. At the end of the day it costs me $1.50-2.50/30ml depending on how much flavoring is in it, and depending on how much I buy the base for. I've been ordering exclusively from wizard labs. Usually premixed e-liquid costs me $10-30 for a 30ml.

Thanks for the heads up on wizardlabs. I wasn't sure which vendor to go with.

I'm considering that too however considering nicotine does have a shelf life, we might just be delaying the inevitable.

Nicotine. properly stored, has a rather long half life. Degradation over years is minimal.
Your 100mg/ml could drop to 99.5mg/ml over several years.
Not much change and proper testing would allow correct adjustment for mixing to specific levels.

Heck. I should quit fixin' planes and move to oregon and open a candy flavorings shop.

I'd be the most successful business owner in town and stick it to the man at the same time.

I'd name my shop "Suck on this"

Edit: Should I form a kickstarter campaign? Anyone? Anyone? (crickets chirping)

Dang. So close.

Careful, DGM! Someones going to throw an "Unregistered supplier" flag at you!

Frightening, a criminal, for unlawful possession of caramel flavor. I wonder if possession of 5 ml or less for personal use might be de-criminalized.

I'm planning ahead. Bought the lights and hydroponics so I can grow flavorings in my basement....

(ETA: Sorry Robino, didn't see your post... hope that's not over the line!)

They don't know unless someone tells them. Or they could be putting something together as I type. Unless they are told, they can't be on top of every state. They do try and do rely on members to be their eyes and ears.

This ^^. Put it in smaller glass bottles with minimal air space at the top and put them in the freezer. Everything I've ever read about this indicates the nic will still be good in a decade or longer. I would use PG base instead of VG because PG has a significantly longer storage life at room temperature. Not sure that matters if you're going to cold store it, but it makes more sense that it would than wouldn't.

This is just horribly insane. I am very angry at these blooming control freaks. The people need to let their politicians know this won't fly. I would tell my state politicians if you vote for this, I will never vote for you again. That might not scare them, but at least it will wake them up out of their power hungry stupor. This is not an emergency. They always pass idiotic stuff under the veil of an emergency. This emergency turd is why we are in deep doo doo as far as debt is concerned. The play they use with words is disgusting. They must eat, sleep, and breath Saul Alinsky. I am fed up with this nonsense.

I completely agree, I have loved vaping here in oregon, it seemed that we were farther away from the regulation and BS associated with what has been currently going on. Guess I was wrong there , I was not planning on getting into DIY but now I see I will have no choice probably...
