Okay not sure about this been trying to find it but cant seem to get a good opinion or straight forward answer. What is the difference between dripping and not dripping?
Also whats the pros and cons of dripping? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Dripping is said to give the best flavor you can get. Me, I can't tell much difference. It is, though, a great way to test flavors instead of filling a clearo and going, "Oh no, no, no." :)

Biggest thing for me is clearos are easy. Squirt juice in, vape. And I'm not the most patient type around.

(Just noticed I've been promoted to "ultra member". So... get it? Huh? Get it? HUH?)

I plan on giving dripping a try as a way to try out different juices without committing to a whole tank. Tanks & cartos are for juices I WANT to vape for a while. I'm amaazed Ocelot put her :2c: in without referencing this blog http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/the-ocelot/4005-drip-drip-drip-sound-dripping.html . A very concise explanation of how to drip.

VAPE ON !!!! :vapor:

Despite having a 1000mAh id, I try not to push myself on people and keep my replies relevant to the OP. The question was the pros and cons of dripping, not how to do it. ;)

Hi! I'm about to overwhelm you!

dripping set up: cyclone 2mm air hole, 28g kathal 9 wraps on 3x 3mm silica @ 1.9 ohms, 5.4 volts = around 15 watts

pros:
- full flavor
- strong throat hits (6mg feels like a train! cant image what dripping 18-24mg would be like, throwup.jpg)
- lots of vapor
- i can take of my coil/wick off and torch it back to new
- if my coils are getting too gross, i can make a new one in less than 5 minutes
- if you like tinkering, making stuff, this will be fun (makes the vape experience kind of personal since you're vaping on what you made youself)
- lots of different coil configurations to try out
- switch juices on the fly
- kathal wire and silica wick are cheaps in bulk
- easy to maintain
- customize your vaping experience
- 16 drips can last me 15-20 minutes of vaping

cons:
- if over-dripping occurs, it will leak out your air hole and make a mess, esp in your pocket!
- if you've dripped in new juice, cant put your vape on its side
- carrying around extra stuff: juice bottle
- carrying around extra stuff: batteries (i have a provari so i have a battery case for 2 18490s)
- depending on your resistance, your battery life will decrease (sub-ohms will draw a lot of power)
- juice will spit and pop into your mouth (mmm spicy)
- cant drip will you drive (i drip at stop lights though...)
- if you aren't very proficient at making your own coils, your vape quality will suck
- if you aren't the type to make stuff, get your hands dirty, tinker, etc... it will be frustrating for you
- dripping inherently uses up more juice than carto-tanks (might not be a bad thing if you diy juice, but you will definitely buy more)

the biggest inconvenience for me is not being able to bring just my pv. when im out i have to bring my pv, juice, battery case and its very weighty in my pockets. but i deal with it bc i love how my set up vapes! what i need now is a small zip pouch i can clip to my belt loop.

to fix my problem of too much stuff i just ordered a genesis atomizer. an 18650 can last me all day so with this genesis tank i hope to bring only my pv when im out.

I have an eGo Twist batt with Clearos most of the time, but if I want to try out a juice before I commit a Clearo to it, I try it dripping. I have a standard 510 atty with a high bridge so I can see what I am doing (and not flooding it) with a cheap drip tip on top.

I love to pick up eJuice at little smoke shops while I'm out and about but 9 times out of 10 they don't have everything set up in a tank to try it out. I try it right there with my handy-dandy set up in my little baggie in my purse (if they have an open bottle) and if I like it I buy it.

By the way I love my clearos: fill it up once a day and vape it!

Otherwise I get home with a blueberry that tastes like a pear/honeydew melon....which happened!

I have an old 510 cartomizer that I removed the filler from for drip testing DIY stuff. Got a M5 on order with some other stuff from FastTech so I can have a more "real" dripping experience.

mkbilbo - is that avatar from an old 70's TV show, think it was UltraMan or something like that?

Yeah. Used to watch that when I was a kid (oh boy... I'm getting old huh?).

Saw the system call me an "Ultra Member" so, you know, like I can resist a bad pun...
