Okay..here's the deal. Picked up a protank 2 today. Put my liquid in...screwed it to my MVP...made sure the volts were low at first...took a drag......! Tasted like straight burnt wick and coil...and hurt. So...after flipping the stupid o ring that was blocking most of the area for the wick to get its liquid...I can take two hits...tastes like vaping...and then boom burnt hot and nasty wick coil again. Please advise what is happening and how to fix

Do a search on youtube for protank wick removal and there's a bunch of videos on there how to do it. It's fairly easy. I would start by removing just the top one first then trying it and if you still get dry hits remove the other. Dry hits are awful and sometimes something as simple as removing a wick can take care of it. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

Primer puffs. You can't just throw juice in and go, even when replacing your wicks. I don't think you will be able to get all of the burnt wick taste out, probably should throw a new coil head in.

Just be sure to do 2-3 primer puffs every once in a while to ensure the flow of juice is going through your coils.

I experienced this a few times as well and have not been able to fix it. I have read that rebuilding the coil will eliminate this problem but I have not done one yet and cannot confirm. It has been a PITA for me as well. As an example, yesterday I was vaping and experienced this burning taste. My tank was low and I decided to clean it and I put a new head in. A few hours later, I was experiencing the same thing. I tried flipping the silicone o-ring but did not help. Today I opened up the head to expose the flavor wicks and found them to be black! I have only taken 40-50 puffs off this new head and the juice is almost as clear as water so, I am not sure how this is happening. The juice I use is 50/50 and thin so I am worried removing any of the flavor wicks will cause flooding so I have not tried it.
