Here is the thing:

My very first Protank II has just arrived and cannot wait to use it right away. It has 2.5 ohms coils on it. I am using Ovale 3.7 V (guessing it is 650 mAh; the guy said they were 800 but it says 650 on info sheet).

Will it be enough to have a good vapor and a nice taste with that setting? I know it's kinda personal thing, but what is your experiences and suggestions?

When you keep in mind that Kanger designs their stuff with fixed volt egos in mind (yes the aerotank is made for egos) you will be fine. at 3.7 volts the 2.5 ohm will take just slightly longer to warm up but will give a nice warm vape without too much worry about burning juice. I use 1.8 , 2.2 and 2.5 coils and find the 2.2 and 2.5 coils to be better for long slow draws and actually give better flavor.

There should be an instruction manual in the PT II box. On the inside is a little chart for the best voltage for a particular Ω coil. You should be fine vaping those 2.5 Ω coils at 3.7 volts. Be sure to reference that card when you get your VV device. Do yourself a favor and get an Aerotank base for that PT II, you won't regret it. It eliminates leakage that the PT II's are famous for and lets you regulate the airflow to your liking. Do it, do it now, don't delay, it's only $5 or so!!!

3,7v with 2,5 ohm = +/- 5,5w. IMO a little weak... It will work, but I would suggest a 1,8 ohm coil (7,6w) to get a decent vape. Just my :2c:

Exactly what I was thinking. I find my kanger vapes best @ 7.5-8.0W. I've just tried @ 5.5W using a spare 2.5ohm and instantly noticed the lack of flavor/vapor on 50/50 juice.

*update*

Been using it for two days and I am already surprised! The warm up takes time but it's like 2 or 3 puffs for me. I got the same taste in every puffs no burning not dry incredible vapor comparing to ego cartos. I am waiting itaste vv to arrive but even with low ego c battery the taste is just "vapetastic"

I used 2.5 ohm heads on a 3.7 battery for around 6 months, mostly EVOD's, which use the same heads. No complaints, but eventually decided I wanted a little more oomph as I scaled back to 6mg liquid. I switched to 1.8 ohm on a 3.7 battery and it's been my go-to, all day combination for around a year. I've tried a TON of combinations, and have a mech mod with a KFL at home just so I can switch up flavors, but can't beat the convenience, flavor & clouds. The point isn't that this is what you should do, but that you'll find your sweet spot over time- and with atomizer heads at ~$1/each, it's easy enough to experiment.
