I've been loving my ProTank. Got it in the mail about a week and a half ago, rinsed it out good and loaded it up with MBV Hawk Sauce. Found that 8 watts on my SVD is the sweet spot for it. So far I have been nothing but happy with the flavor. The only times I've had any problems is if I take 3-4 long drags in a row (cause I do that sometimes) the flavor will get a bit muted, probably the wicks just not keeping up. Otherwise under regular use it preforms like a champ. Lots of vapor and plenty of flavor.

And its only leaked once, and that was because it got up to 95 degrees in my house because I forgot to turn the air on before I left for work. I can hardly blame it for that. Hasn't leaked a drop if the ambient temp is below 87 or so.

I've found some replacement heads that didn't have a wick sitting on top of the coiled wick, or just had 1 sitting on top. In those cases, with thinner juices, I've resorted to stealing a wick or two from another head (or using a piece pulled off a cotton ball) to reduce flooding. On the most though my protanks work well. When they do flood its usually because of temp change. I have 3 Pro's currently...and just had to throw one out. I dropped it attached to my PV and while it lived...it seemed no matter what I did it would flood. I could see on the first drag it was bubbling into the tank so I assumed I lost vacuum because of a leak between the tank and the metal... and the juice was just dribbling out through the bottom into the 510 connector. I just tossed it and bought a new tank...I had it 90 days, and it had been dropped many time. :(

Finally getting around to trying my Protank. Thus far I am maybe 1/3 of a tank down and while I am getting ample vapor, I am getting very little flavor already. Hopefully this is a temporary thing and flavor increases after a tank or so cuz I'm enjoying the physical aspect of it. Is the juice muting common initially?

2.5 ohm heads. 3.8v on mvp.

FWIW, I've found that between 8 to 10 watts is ideal on the Protank. W= E^2/R (among other things lol). You are running at W=3.8^2/2.5= 5.776 watts. No surprise that performance is not optimal. On a 2.5 ohm head, voltage for 8 watts is 8=E^2/2.5=root2(8*2.5)= 4.47 volts. Vape starting at about 4.5 volts and go from there.

And hold on to your hat because (as long as your battery can supply the W=EI, 8=4.47I, I=8/4.47 =about 1.8 Amps), you will see why Kangertech is selling so many Protanks.

I've been tinkering endlessly with my ProTank for months. when I first got it I was coming from cartos and wanted something with no plastic and an easier draw. At first it was so-so, but a lot better than cartos I was using. Then I started rebuilding, and it got 10x better. I started off with Ribbon Kanthal, but that's really hard to work with in the tight space.

My latest favorite build with the ProTank is a 28ga, 12 wrap microcoil with a whisp of cotton as a wick. This comes out to about 1.2-1.4Ω and vapes beautifully on a mech or VV/VW (I usually set to 7.5-10 watts or 3.3-3.8 volts). TONS of smooth vapor and flavor. A total light and day difference from a stock coil.

I do end up treating my ProTanks like RBAs. I don't actually have any proper RBAs, just some RDAs. I have some chobras on order and I'll see if that really does perform any better than what I've managed to fine-tune the ProTank to do for me.

edit: Looking forward to checking out the v2 when they hit shops.
