After I dry burn it how come it tastes like burn....? Did I do something wrong??

Like Mrs C said, it may need another rinse might as well dry burn again while your at it. Another thing, if the coil was really dirty with a burnt on crust you have to be sure to get it all off or it will taste burnt or crappy. Could be some residue on the underside where you can't see very well. Don't be afraid to burn that coil, I see alot of people baby the coils when dry burning, if you don't use more than 3.7v or so, you can burn the coil for 5 or ten seconds at a time. If it pops it was weak and time to be replaced anyway. Better to find out then, rather than after you've filled a tank.

Do you pop off the tube and visually examine the coil when dry burning? A lot of caked gunk gets trapped and won't come out unless you expose the coil while washing and dry burning. You also have to remove the flavor wicks to see the coil.

If you are doing all that, burnt taste is probably just a dry wick. Put a drop of juice on it before you put it back together.

On the flavor wicks or on my dry wicks?
I did do everything you said... Is it time to put a new coil head now?
I do not know how to build my own.. Any expert help?

How many times I have to burn it? Is it supposed to be smell like burn when I'm burning it? Burn it until it doesn't smell like burn anymore?

I love building coils, that being said - what is your electric background? Familiar with ohms law? Do you have a meter or APV that can check ohms? I am asking all of these questions because you really need to understand what you are doing before rebuilding (safety) it is not hard - but requires knowledge..... If not just buy another head or pack of heads, save the old ones for later when you know more - just my 2c

I have a vamo2. So yes! I'm still learning. Let me know how I can rebuild it

Take it completely apart, remove flavor wick, rinse under hot water, gently blow on it to dry, dry burn the coil and wick until coil grows red, add a drop if juice, reinstall flavor wick, another drop of juice, reassemble, enjoy!

Going to do that NOW!

Do I buy whatever they need? Will they say it in the video?
If I remember correctly, Phil Busardo mentioned that he's using 2mm silica wick and 32 gauge kanthal wire. The other guys may be using different sizes of wick and wire. Watch the videos to see what they're using.

You would also need some sort of resistance tester to check the ohms on your build. I'd recommend a multimeter, which can be used for other things as well.

Vamo right TikTik? Can check resistance on your mod, will need wick, wire, and tools / patience - any local vape shops in your area? Might be worth a trip for supplies and some hands on practice - supplies are cheaper on the internet, but knowledge is easier in person (great videos above!)

Yes I have a vamo! I have no local store here.. I'm ordering some supplies tomorrow. I just want to make sure that I got every materials right then they'll get here by the end of this week. What kind of wick and wire you personally use? What kind of tools are you talking about??

I think if you were to ask, we all do it differently - Lol - for ProTank heads I use 2mm silicia wick with 32 Kanthal wire, I have a straightened out paperclip that I hold in a paid of needle nose pliers with about 1" of wick, I take a piece of wire and make 5-7 non touching wraps around the wick, then I assemble the head, and check ohms (plus or minus button for 3 sec on the vamo) *not the fire button* I have some extra evod / pro tank bases just for this.

Probably about 20 different ways to do this, with about 20 different coil and wick configurations - you have to find what works for you, last thing - after the tank is assembled, full of juice, built coil, don't fire your mod near your face, hold it off to the side, check ohm again, and give it a test fire, I am sure some of the pros will weigh in with their techniques and tips
