I didn't see anything addressing the protection of your cable on the passthru so I thought I'd post this here.

The usb wire where it exits the 'battery' (i know, no battery) looks prone to maybe pulling out of the end if you inadvertently tug too hard by forgetting you're tethered. :p

So I thought I'd post a couple of picks of what I did so that won't happen to mine. You just need a little electrical tape. And be willing to give up about 6 inches in length for your passthru.
Make sure to 'gently' bend the cable when forming it.
Also try to make the wires sit next to each other not one on top of the other when positioning on you 'battery'.
Wrap the tape VERY tight.

It's very secure.

sorry for the attachments. doesn't look like i can embed the photos in the message body.

yeah, i had read somewhere (maybe you) that they were working on this for the new ones. Since I couldn't find anything addressing a 'fix' for the current ones I didn't think it'd hurt.;)
I probably missed the thread with the twist tie or I woulda posted there.

How much longer for a pcc that fits the xl batts leaford?

thanks

Nice. Some people use a zip-tie for the same thing.

But the next generation of our PTs will be reinforced against the kind of accidents you mention.

Whilst you're waiting, hot glue works wonders. You can build your own very effective stress-relief that way. Just start inside the cap and pull the wire down through it to extend it through the cap hole, then build it up around the cap on the outside creating a cone for an inch or so down the wire. It'll be equally as effective (but not as purdy) as the eventual production solution.

I just put a few drops of super glue where the cord enters the ash cap and it will not twist inside. I know Leaford is making improvements that will make that a thing of the past soon!

I'm a newbie and bought my vapor king ultimate kit just last week (ish). I wanted 2 PT's so I ordered another. Before the new one arrived (ordered same day as got ultimate kit), the one that came in the kit quit working completely.

My 2nd PT arrived today and I put a couple drops of super glue on the cord right where it enters the 'ash cap'. Do any of you who use super glue find that the glue then melts as you use the PT? Now what do I do? I literally JUST took it out of the mailbox. 8-o Is there a particular brand of super glue that must be used? I used gorilla super glue (as thats what I had in the cabinet). Any ideas/suggestions?

thanks for the tip!

i actually just rigged up my PT like the pics you showed....

as for an XL pcc,
for a temp. one.....
if you have the tools....
just carefully drill a hole in the closed pcc where the batt would exit (the added length of the xl)

now your pcc will charge the xl while being closed,
although the xl batt will stick out of the pcc a little as well....

So ya I have a katt and I know it's spelled with 2 t's sheesh.

anyways, the only thing that keeps mine away from the cord is to make sure there is something with kattnip in it and a laser pointer.
She finally stopped going after it after about 3 days and opted for the red dot and kattnip ball.

Saw the title and thought for sure there was gonna be some sort of anti-cat tactics.

Still waiting for those... :p
