I thought I'd start a separate thread on this because it's important to know. First of all the protected battys are a VERY tight fit, but they work. I have 2 older ones and they work and I have 2 brand new ones I ordered in from DE the same item number, everything, and they are literally even bigger and will not work AT ALL in there. So the sizes of these protected batteries can really differ. Now I don't know where to order some more protected ones from and am scared they will be too tight again and not work at all.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No, Steve said it would take the trust fire ones the blue ones and it DOES, BUT like I said, it takes 2 of them that I have, but not the recent 2 I bought. They are the same scew number and everything. They are DEFINITELY taller and a little fatter and are way too tight and won't work. So some major inconsistencies going on from China.

I ordered some from DX the day I ordered the Protege and they are working fine. Problem is that are made in China with questionable quality control. The guy who makes the Super T showed 2 batteries all the same model both different sizes. It's a crap shoot ordering from DX.

That's good yours are working. I want to show you mine and tell me which ones on the top yours look like. Does it have a large white ring and a small silver thing on it or does it have a smaller white ring with a larger silver thing? lol When I stand my 2 straight up they aren't even standing straight, then lean. LOL

You will find that all rechargable LiIon batteries are made in China. Even Tenergy batteries have theirs made in China.

Yes, Kevin, I realize that. I've been dealing with and using these for months and months now. I just really have a mess here on the ones they sent me, they are horrible, look like the leaning tower or P too. The don't even stand up straight and they are taller than my others ones and they are the same ones.

What brand batteries are they?

Still don't get the big deal over protected batts. Put 'em in your charger right and what's the problem? E-cigars have always used them.

There you are right on charging. Where the protected batteries offer additional protection is they also prevent over-discharging. Li-Ion batteries can become damaged if you discharge then below their lower voltage limit. It only takes one time to cause damage due to over discharging.

the blue trust fires from deal extreme.

I have had quality control issues with the trust fire and ultra fire batteries from DX. 2 out of 12 were received DOA. So far the Tenergy seem to have better quality control.

Ok let me rephrase a lot of cheaper products really lack good quality control. Different companies get their products from the same manufacture with different different specs and quality control their own products. I am sorry if I offended you but IN MY OPINION most China cheaper products you get what you pay for. I order them also and thus my frustration and sorry if I came across like I was dogging them or Lucky.

Example DealExtreme: $5.64 TrustFire Protected 3.7V 900mAh 14500 Lithium Battery (2-Pack)is what I bought. A 14500 battery should be 14mm by 50mm but by their pictures your see they are 14.3 and almost 51.5. Check this thread out and you'll see what I mean http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/super-t-manufacturing/33405-16340-battery-warning.html. I just don't think that problem just pertains to that battery but a lot of the cheaper batteries and like what a2d said you might be better off staying with tenergy or at least know your might get lucky or might not

I am really sorry yours didn't work. I really didn't mean to come off like haha mine work. I know it's frustrating and wasn't very compassionate, sorry.
