I would suspect before long, since China already has a chip that replicates the dna, that this mod and a dozen others will hit the market at half the price in less than 6 months.. Plus there will not be any waiting to get your hands on the latest cloned pv .. lol

I've only seen one review on the Chinese 20W chip...but I couldn't watch the whole thing because the reviewer was driving me nuts and from what little I did watch, it was all, "This is a game changer!"

Hopefully, the availability of the Chinese 20W chip doesn't have a negative effect on the small businesses that manufacture mods like the XPV. The only way Protovapor could possibly sell the XPV for half the price is if they stop using the Evolve chip and cut costs elsewhere. There's no way they can stay in business if they sell the XPV for half the price.

Protovapor: " if we keep getting these kinds of inquiries we may have to start moving people back in the line." I only asked when the lead time was unclear back when the new site opened and I ordered and then again after my lead time was exceeded. " We ask that you refrain from submitting status inquiries until at least 48 hours past the end of your lead time window" and when other people that ordered after me got a shipping notice

lol. The nerve. Well, they lost my sale. I was going to get one for the wife. A different road is what I'll travel.

Evolv is the one that is going to have to adjust. Once China gets rolling these mods won't get near 200$ let alone 250-280 some are getting.

Could be worse. There was a thread about the Hana V3 preorder and how folks are being told June or July before completion of their mod. I expected 3-4 weeks when I ordered from protovapor so no big deal. Just keep myself occupied and let them build the mods without bothering them with emails for a status updates.

Thanks for taking the wheel while my brain was stuck in neutral, LOL! I was thinking that somewhere in the back of my mind.

On a side note: I'm trying very hard not to just pull the trigger on a silver XPV30.

Oh and to clear up any confusion this was the email. As the site news says, orders made on the old site ship in order of original order. Your mod will ship in turn, it is scheduled for production today or tomorrow.

Please make it known wherever you are discussing this that, as the status post says, sending email inquiries can only slow down shipment of your mod, as it takes time away from building mods to answer inquiries. It's not really fair to everyone else in line, so if we keep getting these kinds of inquiries we may have to start moving people back in the line.

I understand it's not fun to wait for a mod, but we are working literally as hard as we can to get caught up with the big influx around the opening of the new site. I keep getting inquiries for mods that are just about to ship, so we have to ask for just a little more patience. This is why we posted the 48 hour window in the status post.

yeah, heaven forbid they ask the public to refrain from slamming them with unneccessary e-mails AFTER they asked on their web-site not to do that.... vapors can sure be a whiney bunch.... thanks for changing your mind -maybe my next xpv will arrive faster. all i know after using my first one is this- the only one who got hurt is your wife if some perceived slight had you decide to not buy her one. great device- if some of you show a little patience you'd realize it also. maybe people get their devices depending on parts available and not on order date alone- or is that concept too difficult for some to grasp?......

Their reply seems very reasonable and also seems like they are extremely responsive to requests and trying to produce a great mod at a great price.. Faster out the door than anyone else I can find using the DNA chips..

Yeah SSVape today said if you preordered the hana modz in March it would be 6 to 8 weeks. Thats crazy. Luckily I preordered 2/9 so I should have one in a couple weeks. But I just want to say that i've heard people say that they get only a couple hours worth of vape on their DNA mods. Ripp said in his last video that he gets 3 hours at 21 watts. I just don't get how thats possible. I last charged my Protovapor at midnight last night so 22 1/2 hours ago and i've been vaping all day at 17.5 watts and I still have 4/5 of my battery left. I get almost two full days at 17.5 watts. Maybe when you get above 20 watts the battery dies faster but I can't imagine an extra 3.5 watts would cut my battery life by that much.

Looks exactly like mine. All black XPV with KFL+ on top. Perfect set up. Are you getting the same great battery life as me? I just don't get how some people are only getting 3 and 4 hours.
Yep, I'm getting great battery life. I am a little obsessive when it comes to 'topping off' the battery life - I think my eVic conditioned me to do this to keep it over 50% at all times, but otherwise, it's a champ. P.S. That's KF 3.1 tobeco clone. It was totally worth the price, but difference is noticeable in comparison to the precision of Svoemesto. Also, a side question. How come I can't go higher than 7.5w whilst using a PT3 (dual coil) on the XPV? If I hit 8 or higher, it starts giving off burnt vapor. On my eVic, I could go up to 11w, which was the eVic's ceiling. I'm assuming it has something to do with the eVic "not actually" generating 11w, whereas the DNA is extremely accurate?

The DNA is extremely accurate thats for sure, 10 watts on my XPV is totally different than 10 watts on the MvP2 thats for sure!

Is this outfit processing payment weeks ahead of fabrication & shipment ?
Or do they bill once the item has shipped ?

Not sure about weeks ahead of production as I have had both of my XPV's for some time but I paid in advance of the mod being made and shipped. Not that uncommon for places to process payments before production when ordering a " custom " item.

BTW if you could, please let people know that emailing will not make the mod ship any sooner and can only make it ship later because answering inquiries takes up production time.

My mod shipped a couple hours latter. Maybe it was a coincidence.

Perhaps if that many people are contacting them about order status they could make the ordering process a bit more transparent.
