Well... it's been a week with the XPV

It was out of rotation for a couple of days when I got really annoyed with the R91s.
But it's back and I couldn't be happier.

This APV is so beautifully designed, balanced, and functional there is only one word: elegant.

My other mods include:
  • MVP V2
  • VaporShark dna
  • VaporShark rDNA
  • Red Sky Mods Cruiser
  • Emit Vapor Shotgun
The XPV is my favorite thus far, vapes wonderfully at higher wattages than the others, and is definitely my go to.

It may be the design factors, perception, or a combination thereof but the XPV vapes the best for me.

I have another one on order :vapor:

Bit of a glitch here guy`s.I have the DNA20 which is coming up to a year old now.As a typical example I have just recoiled the Kayfun @1.5ohms,as soon as I put it on the mod it fires ok but is showing a reading of 1.0ohm.If I take the atty off and press the fire button once or twice I get 1.5ohm show up.Press it again and it shows 0.0ohm which is obviously correct. This has been happening for around a couple of weeks now and the difference in what the mod shows and what the actual res is has been getting greater all the time.Any ideas on what the cause could be and a cure?

Not sure of the cause but my DNA30 started reading 0.00 on the ohms. It would still fire but wouldn't show the ohms. I opened it and unplugged the battery for a minute or so to do a reset. This fixed the problem. So you may try doing a reset on it by unplugging the battery. Hope that works.

Thanks for the reply David.Already done that I am afraid but no luck.I contacted Evolv and got a reply saying that the most probable cause was the ohm sensor on the chip playing up.They kindly offered to replace the board for free if I send them the old one back.Being in the UK and having to take the old one out,I might as well purchase a DNA30 board and install it.

Hello people I need some help with my DNA30 XPV.It has stopped reading the RES. of every atty that I put on the device.Everything else is shown and readable just not the RES.

It happened yesterday at some point I was adjusting the ohms to taste and I noticed that the res. was reading 0.0 but ohms were shown and the device is working along with the atty,it was vaping with no problem?? I am at witts end figuring this out because there is really nothing I can do to figure it out other than open it up and look at the board to see if everything is kosher but I am leaving that as last resort.

Try opening it and unplugging the battery and then reconnecting to see if that resets it.

rounding third and heading home...
run the battery down till it resets. should fix your problem.

i did that- it takes a long time for the battery to run down, a long time. then a couple of weeks later, it did it again. this time it is going back to get a new battery put in so that should take care of the problem. did i mention it takes a long time for the battery to run down?...
run down does not mean it won't fire your atty-run down means it won't even light up the screen and that takes a long.....well, you know.....

So far running the battery down did not fix the problem so I will be taking the case apart and unplugging the battery to see if that will correct it if not,it is going back for protovapor to find out what is causing it.I have already placed a support ticket in with them but I think the ticket went in too late today for a reply back so tomorrow I will find out more??

this is the first time this has happened with the device.I purchased mine just before they changed the batteries to the VTC 5's but missed the change to the 510 connector.i will be getting that changed out along with fixing the "no res. shown" being read on the device.

EDIT: take it back, running the battery down did correct the problem.I just looked down at the screen because it stopped firing and the screen blinked off and on and the res. of the atty showed up again. So for now my XPV is working 100% again. If it happens again I will be sending it in for battery replacement. Thanks for the help getting my device working again.

good news you got it sorted.I might well try running mine down and see if it fixes my wrong ohm reading.
