Looking forward to getting this thing (sorry if I seemed a little whiny about it for a while, they did what they had to do, I just got my hopes up when I saw the expected leadtime go down twice while my order was in the queue).

No this wait was a piece of cake.Unless you got in on the Precise ELA pre-order and waited over 9 months for your mod,this was relatively easy.

But yea,i still hate waiting for a new device just like everyone else.

I've has mine a few months so it has the new one. Don't think the install would be that hard to do. You would need the connector and a spacer because it's longer than the old one. You may have to drill out the top plate or maybe you could just buy a new one. Or you could check with them and see what they would charge to do it.

Protovapor charges the same price for the upgrade whether it is self-installed or done by them.
Naturally you would have to pay to ship it back to them.

Just happen to go to the site and saw it. Status 9/16: XPV sale! No lead time! | Protovapor.com It'll be interesting to see what they are working on.

I know they haven't been around that long but they appear to be doing things the right way. I'd like to see them continue to grow.

Still driving my XPV's and loving them.

I got mine yesterday. I love this device.

The finish on the XPV is flawless, got the black matte. The spring loaded 510 works with every atty i've tried. I like the usb charging port it looks nice and its solid. Its smaller and lighter than I thought it would be which is a plus. Fits in my hand comfortably, got the clicky button.

For me its money well spent!

Almost everyone that I've had look at the XPV has commented on how light it is. Still like mine and can't think of any PV I'd trade it for.
