I wonder what the 3.1 really brings to the table vs. a KFL+. I suppose you don't need to dismount it to fill it or adjust airflow?

It was in fact a bottle of Blue Raz Cotton Candy liquid I bought cheap off of someone who was getting rid of it. The colour is how it is, in fact a bit darker if anything. And it tastes great as well, definately going to order some more. That is true regards to filling it. Just cover the air hole with your finger, unscrew the top and fill. Put the top back on, invert and let go of the air hole, job done.Here are a couple of other builds I tried in it, both which work well.You can see on the last picture the air flow adjuster hex screw.

I like yer coils.... I rocked ss mesh in my Russian for a bit, wasn't a huge fan. Your cotton steel hybrid wick seems like something I must try ASAP.

Maybe someone can explain this finger over the air-hole stuff? If the chimney top is open then air can move around in the chimney. By putting your finger on the air hole you only prevent juice that is inside the chimney from going down the air hole, but there shouldn't be any juice in the chimney anyways. But putting your finger on the air hole does NOT stop juice from entering the chimney since the top of the chimney is open and air can exit there while juice enters via the channels.

I have never used my finger or flipped it upside down before tightening it fully and have never had an issue.

I think the idea is to keep from loosing the "vacuum" by placing ones finger on the air hole... But if you've never had issues don't start changing things up.

You are right in thinking lthere should be no liquid in the chimney. I just watched a video similar to this one when I first got mine and have stuck with it, as mentioned if you got no problems with the method you use then that`s fine.

That is the reason for using the finger. You don't want the liquid to go down the airflow hole and leak out all over your hands and stuff.

I do the upside down method and never had any juice escape from the airhole. Whatever works for you.

I do know if I take a unit and try and top it off, if I don't cover the air hole, I get juice pouring out the air hole when I break the seal.

Yes that will always happen as you do get a certain amount of pressure build up inside, basicaly a back syphoning effect.Personally I never let the tank run dry before topping it up so covering the air hole is a must really. Not a good day today for us but we will fight on as it will now go to court.

I'm not sufficiently motivated to explain it in detail at the moment, but the KF, like every other bottom coil tank, depends on having a partial vacuum at the top of the tank to keep the liquid from flooding the fire chamber. Kinda like an upside-down glass full of water stays full, or how gas doesn't really want to pour out of a gas-can without you opening the vent hole. If you open the top, you break that vacuum (just like opening the vent hole on a gas can). Personally, I fill my R91 he way the designers intended; by removing it from the PV, turning it upside down, and using the fill hole in the bottom.

Got it with an origen RDA running dual 1.3ohms, and I made myself nic sick enjoying this bad boy.

The order numbers are meaningless as they were generated by amazon and are totally random.
