Haha! ...well, I'm better on patience than I used to be, nearly two years ago, when I began vaping. Good things come to those who wait, and all that... A year ago, I was still a little bit 'Gotta have it now, and if I can't, I'll find something that I can get now...'

I've been thinking of adding a ProVari to the collection, with 18650 extension, and a tank ring, as well... So maybe I'll go for one of those, in the next day or two, to play around with for awhile. If it looks like those ship pretty quick, I can play around with it for a bit, until my XPV arrives. Hey, If I don't really like the ProVari, or it's obsolete, compared to my XPV, I can sell it on eFlake, and maybe make a few extra bucks on the deal, next month....

I'd be surprised if you ordered a ProVari and didn't get within 5 business days. The only issue (it's covered in the "ProVarinati Handbook" :p ) is having to stalk the mailman since a signature is required.

Shipping notice received!

Order #429 (and #430 cuz I forgot to add the removable clip option in #429 :p ) placed 3/10. Payment completed 3/12, for those keeping track. That's 26 business days, so mine was completed ahead of lead time stated at the time of my order.

The Provari has and always will hold it's dollar value for re-sale.If you have ever been in on a "pre-sale" item, think of this the same way,and most did go vape mail happy in a pre-sale and splurge on other gear just waiting out the shipping notice.

Right. Exactly what I'm thinking. Since I have a little extra cash around right now, why not buy one to play around with? I take great care of all my gear, so unless there's some terrible catastrophe, the ProVari should still be just like brand-new as well, so it'll bring top dollar, and give me a chance to finally play around with one. I've never had one before, and have always been curious just how much better the output is, when it comes to firing, compared to other middle of the road powered systems. If I go for it, I'll go all out, and get the Blue display as well. The only negative I have, is buying cells with a nipple. I have several good cells in rotation right now, but all are flat top (Including a VTC4 and two VTC5's)

I think I will. Why not? ...Oh boy, looks like I'll have to drive up to the post office.. Our carrier is lazy, and never knocks at the door. Always just drops the notice in the box. That annoys me... Thx for the heads up though. Appreciate that! :)

Can anyone who's had an XPV for a while (with the second connection, not the first they used in production) confirm whether the 510 connection is stainless steel, or chromed brass? I'm hoping it's solid stainless steel, instead of brass..

I'm not saying that I think the top plate, and atomizer connection won't be totally sufficient, or that it looks poorly executed at all. On the contrary. It could well be really strong, and the previously mentioned issue with the soldering, just a 1-in-a-million fluke

If Protovapor doesn't announce that they have come up with a different manufacturing process for the top plate/connection, that we can purchase down the road, or send the mod to them to have upgraded, I may decide to build my own top and bottom plates using heavy stainless steel sheeting, and will make, or purchase a steel 510 connection, that's fastened in with a lock washer and nut. If I decide to upgrade it myself, and end up making my own connection, it'll have a replaceable delrin insulator, and adjustable copper contact if I can fit it into the case, wired up, without having to cram it in. My guess is, if the one they used fits once wired up, surely there are other options that would, as well. I assume that since the mod is already really lightweight, adding a couple small squares of thick sheet steel, still isn't going to turn the mod into a heavyweight. The true test of the connection's lasting durability, is of course how it stands up to in-and-out of the pocket, all day use. It's really great that this mod is made up of several individual pieces. That makes modifying it if one has the know-how, much easier.

Why bother... Save your money. If you like the Sonys; run the Provari with these: http://.........blogspot.com/2014/01/give-me-nipples-flat-top-battery.html

I doubt it's SS since SS wouldn't solder well at all.

I've had mine since mid January. It's gone everywhere with me since the day I got it. Except the DNA bug where the resistance reading gets stuck (which doesn't affect functionality and isn't the mod's fault), I have had NO issues with it whatsoever.

i have a question for you guys... i have a XPV Mini that will not fire. it keeps telling me to check atomizer, and will not read the ohms or anything else. both of my o-rings are in tact at the top of the connection, all wires seem to be in place, and after looking through this mod, i have unplugged the battery in it, and replugged it in, and i still get nothing. the devices i have been using to test have all worked on my ZNA, so i know the coils are not to blame, and i know that the tanks are making connection, ecause i am actually pushing the center pin from underneath it to ensure they are making a good connection with the tank... i was wondering if you guys could give me some more insight as to what i can do to fix this device
