There was a guy here that was doing some great anodizing, but only on aluminum...

But what the heck... I would take a beat-up Provari any day, especially since my LavaTube just crapped out on me!!

Sorry to hear about your LavaTube :(

Sorry to hear about your LavaTube :(

Thanks... I don't really miss it that much, but it was the only thing I had that could check resistance...

I just wanted to say how much I love to see stuff like this going on!!
It's what makes the ECF such a wonderful place, and just gives me the warm fuzzies...

I just wanted to say that I think that this is the best bunch of people here on ECF!!
I am a HUGE believer in 'What comes around, goes around'. I personally don't have a lot, but I ALWAYS help someone in need with whatever I can. I have always been lucky to have someone help me out when I have needed it the most. I think that the world would be a much nicer place if everyone lived this way. I have been fortunate enough to come across the most amazing people at the times when I have needed it the most. Some people don't understand that sometimes the smallest things we do to help someone can have the biggest impact.
I absolutely love this group of people!!! You are amazing!!

here
I love my Provari. It reeks of quality. Is it worth the extra money? Not sure. I think that depends on your financials. On a tight budget, I would probably steer away from a Provari as it isn't going to give you a vape that is leaps and bounds above the rest. If dropping several 100 bucks isn't going to affect your budget, then I think it is a wise choice.

Its a VV device. It has a 3.5 amp limit. If you exceed the amp limit, it will not fire. This is a plus. The MVP has a lower amp limit, but will still fire if you exceed the limit. Even tho it will still fire when set at a volt that is above the amp limit, it will be at a lower volt then you have it set to.

Has something to do with how the power is regulated... it just vapes better... not sure the "technical terms" Pulse modulated or something...?

If I'm not mistaken, Provari's are true DC mods. They do not use Pulse Width Modulation. True DC means that when you select a lower voltage, the output of the voltage is absolute. Mods that use Pulse Width Modulation, however, turn on and off extremely rapidly to achieve that same voltage, using the full voltage of the battery. I can explain more in depth if needed.

Translation - more reliable power, and better battery life?

Translation is pretty well correct, for the most part Kent. The power is a steady power. As far as battery life goes, better battery life as far as the life cycle of the battery goes, but as the power is still being used and just regulated down, the extra energy would be dissipated as heat through probably a variable rectifier.

This thread makes me want to buy MORE from Nicoticket. Good, good peeps here.

:)

And the bad thing is, I've never tried Nicoticket yet. I just thought the thread looked interesting and thought I would interact. HOWEVER, I do plan to try some (considering I've heard it's very, very good stuff) as soon as I get paid.

No rush - good company is good company - stick around even if you never spend a dime - that's family.
