Provari - About to pull the trigger

FWIW, after 12 months of trying various things, I absolutely LOVE the smok-Tech-Dual-Coil-Mega-XXL-15-OHM-Cartomizer cartos, and used them exclusively for 6-7 months on a VV box mod before I got the Provari. I'm not crazy about the eGo version; too many DOAs and bad perfomers. I need to get some more. Definitely use a syringe for the first fill, but not for further fills, just drip. I didn't know Madvapes had them, but am a little hesitant ordering from them based on the problems with credit card fraud others have reported on the suppliers review section of this forum. Carolina Vapes also has these cartos at the same price, and Lisa at CV is very nice and reliable. smoktek.com has them as well, but at a higher price.

Oh, got my Provari in about three days from ordering.

how long does it usually take to get them on average? I seen where they usually ship in 3-5 days. does that mean Monday or Tuesday for the next week? or do they usually come in quicker? I've got a lot of stuff coming from AVEJuice next week as well. Im thinking about ordering some of these:
Smok-Tech-Dual-Coil-Mega-XXL-15-OHM-Cartomizer
and these:
Smok-Tech-Dual-Coil-Mega-XXL-15-OHM-Cartomizer-Black
and see how they work out. I saw on Youtube and I think it was GrimGreen talking about how well they were.
What do you guys think?
I am most definately buying a few of the tanks from Phiniac. They look very well made and the dragonfly large tank is just purdy. :p

Firstly, how long do they take to ship. Well it all depends on how many they already have in stock. I personally ordered mine when they said it would take 7-10 days, and it shipped out the second day.

As far as your cartomizers, I would suggest you stay away from dual coils. I would recommend XL single coils instead. With the XL catos, you'd want the 'tall boy' Phiniac tank. For the regular size tank you'll want the regular sized carto. Go with the 3.0 ohm cartos. Also, if you are going to be putting them in a tank, you need to be sure to get stainless steel cartos, and be sure they have a hole punched in them, or you can punch the hole yourself.

Phiniac tanks on a Provari is a beautiful thing!:D

Vision vivi nova 2.5 this thing is awesome!

Ive seen many reviews on these and it seems the vast majority love them. I bought a lot of different things from AVEJuice including juice. I bought quite a bit of different cartos and such to try out mainly because I don't really know what I like atm lol. My first order was from gotvapes and had no issue and saw the review video on those there and YouTube.

Kay1959,
Thanks for telling me about the SS cartos that actually slipped my mind.

Can i not use the 510 Dual Coil MEGA Stainless XXL 1.5 ohm Cartomizers? aren't the effectively 3ohms total?

It doesn't quite work that way. As I understand it, a 1.5 ohm dual coil consists of two 3-ohm coils wired in parallel, yielding a total resistance of 1.5. Therefore, the amp draw on a 1.5 ohm dual coil will be twice as high as the amp draw on a single 3.0 ohm coil.

If you have a very specific reason to use dual coils, fine. If you use them just because you think two must be better than one, then don't use them.

To me, it makes the most sense to warm a single coil that is in good contact with the juice instead of equally warming an upper and a lower coil, thus using twice the energy and warming each coil to the same temperature when it seems logical that the upper coil will be dryer than the bottom coil, resulting in less-than-ideal flavor.

Why cook your dinner on two burners when one will do fine, and might just make your dinner taste better to boot?
