Scott, are you planning on sharing how long you think it took to enter in every entry in the random number generator when you're done?
hi mate,
during the week i had several people write to me with suggestions on how to make things a little easier.........some ideas were good, some were not so good, lol
however, one guy made a suggestion that has completely removed the need for me to enter everyones details individually!
basically, when i go to my email account it shows me details such as "sender, subject title, time sent" etc etc.........so the suggestion was to copy n paste the sender details into the random generator software and then once the winner is picked i would then go back into the email account and use the "search email" function to enter that winners sender details........this would then bring up the winners email which i would then simply open and be able to read out their name, area, country and check that they got the right answer!
however, AOL wont allow me to copy n paste anything for some reason and the random generator wont allow things like that to be copied n pasted into it
so i then opened a hotmail account and set it up so all the aol competition emails also get sent to the hotmail address......from there i can copy the senders details (hotmail will allow the copy n paste function) and then paste it all into a notepad document. then via the random generator software i can import the notepad document which then enters all the sender details for me individually!
so basically, all the 796 entries are stored in the random generator and when i press the stop button i will just need to type the winners details into the "search email" function of either aol or hotmail to then get the winners original email and find out their name, area, country etc
im just in the process of going
through all the emails to delete any double entries and will then get cracking with doing the winners vid!
cheers
scott
