Provari doesn't work.

Hi, my provari stubbornly refuses to fire my atomizers. When I try to find out the resistance of the coil, using the function Ao it reads Lo. I changed batteries, cleaned the contact surfaces with alcohol, lowered the voltage setting etc. but to no avail. The same atomizers work perfectly on my other provari.

Anybody got any idea?

Your atomize ohms are to low, if it's below .9 ohms you get the lo error code and the P will not fire. The Provari works best on builds of at least 1.5 ohms. It will fire a .9 ohm coil, but, because of the 3.5 amp limit of the P, you'll only be able to get 11 or 12 watts out of it. To get the full 15 watts of power you need a build of 1.5-2 ohms at least.

What atomizer do you have on it? Is it an rba? If you are using something like the protank, you probably over tightened it and twisted the wires causing a short causing the lo error. If it's an rba, well you need more coil warps to get your resistance up. Provari is fine, it's user error.

Well, the strange thing is that the same rbas do work flawlessly on my other provari.

The coil I use is 1.8 Ohm.

i can adjust the center pin of my Russian, so that I am certain that it makes contact. Yes, I checked to see whether it was on or not.

Contact ProVape for a repair. It should just cost you the postage to there to get it fixed. If it works on one and not the other, it seems to me like it's the other that is the problem, not the atty.

Do a process of elimination.. put a different top on the provari.. if that works.. we know its your atty not the provari.

How old is the Provari? A V1 only had a 2.5 amp limit. The V2/2.5 have a 3.5 amp limit.

Do you get an "E" code when you try to fire it, or does nothing happen at all?
If nothing at all, for whatever reason it isn't making contact. If you get an E1 or E2 code, you're exceeding the amp limit.

Do you have a multi meter? Test if there even power going through the post.

Aha, I tried a different atty, no luck. I don't have a multimeter, but I'll buy one to check (plus on the provari, minus on any piece of metal, right?).

Before it started to give the Lo code it once read E1. After that no firing and lo all the time.

E1 short circuit/shorted Atty..

It also noted try different Atty or lower the voltage setting.

I would suspect that the center post is shorted then. (insulator is damaged)

Probably had a topper with a long center post screwed down to tight at some point in the past.
Look to see if the Provari center post is centered, or pushed over to the side. (it's hard to push a Provari post out of position tho)
