To high a voltage or an intermittent shot will cause that. I have an Aga T and if you have to much tension on the nuts on top it will compress the center post and cause shorts like that. They did a poor job of designing the silicone grommet on the center post on the bottom of the post where it screws onto the battery. It will tear or compress and short. One trick if it is not the center post. Could be a short between the coil and the SS mesh. After oxidizing wrap a piece of Cig paper around the mesh where the coil wraps. That way after the first couple of burns the paper burns off and leaves a small gap between the coil and the mesh.

Try turning your voltage down this should stop the error codes.

This fixed all my error codes when I first built my Lavagen rba. Remember to test the ohms every time you attach a carto, or rba. First adjust the volts down to 3.0 volts (or that is what I do) then test the ohms. At that time I add 2-2.2 volts to the voltage based upon the ohms number. If I have a 2.8 ohm carto or wick, I can add 2.2 to determine the volts. IE 2.8 ohms = 2.8 ohms reading+ 2.2 volts equals 5.0 volts. Adjust from the original volts you set it at, ie. 3.0 volts to 5.0. I never go above 2.1 volts added to the ohms number, just to be safe. Then I am ready to vape.

I am still a newbie and I am just passing along what I was told. Try it and pass it forward if it works.

Anyone else got some knowledge to pass or corrections they can make to mine? Feel free.

dont build your coils lower than 1.3ohm, i think the provari has a 1.2ohm limit? also a 3 or 3.5amp limit and a 15watt limit as well (i think those are accurate off the top of my head)
1. most likely you're trying to push too much power or too low resistance
2. there is a short somewhere in your device.

The lowest I've been able to go on my Provari is 1.3 ohms and I finally got it up to 1.5 which is close to what I'm trying for. When you start drop the voltage down to 3.3 volts. I've watched Zen do this with the Z atty pro. He then goes up in voltage very slowly. By 0.2 volt increments each time. This gives the coil a nice slow break-in period.

I always get the E1 error code when I replace a cartotank with a RBA. I forget to turn down the volts, as my cartomizers are 3.0 ohms and my RBA coils are anywhere from 1.2 to 1.4 ohms.

Hahaha . . . It's a terrible excuse, but I ordered another provari just for RBAs.
