just came in and all i can say is wow. after holding the provari mini, it feels like a miniature tank. the vtube mini feels like a toy in comparison.

glad i listened to you guys and just decided to get this and not waste my time with other stuff. hits amazing too. better than the vtube at both the same and higher voltage. not even sure why

cant wait to really take it through its paces and write a good review

Congrats on the new Provari. Your reaction is pretty typical. We all experienced doubts about sinking so much money into one device. But for those of us that eventually take the plunge, our previous fears are immediately dismissed once we hold it in our hands and begin vaping on it.

Is it overpriced? That can only be answered from each individual's perspective and ultimate expectations. It's certainly not for everyone I'm sure. Of course, you do need to have the funds to afford one. But if you do have the funds, I don't see how you could go wrong buying one.

I think many of those who think it is worth the money have suffered disappointment and felt like they had wasted perhaps hundreds of dollars on the similar, less expensive devices prior to getting a Provari. Many owners state that if they knew then what they know now, they would have gotten the Provari to begin with. Perhaps experiencing those disappointments allows for a finer appreciation for what the Provari does do.

I for one am glad I did a lot of research before buying my Provari. I knew from all the positive comments about its superb build, functional consistancy, durability, and top notch company support that I was going to be happy with my purchase. For me the Provari represents that rare attribute that you can still get your money's worth with certain things.

you were definitely one of the reasons i ended up getting it. one thread where you and another dude argued for a few pages really made feel pretty confident about it. my gf got it for me after she asked what i wanted for as a late bday gift lol. glad i can return the vtube. the cap threading is so bad on it compared to the provari.

To .... in on battery duration talk, just got my Provari yesterday. First time use after a full charge on brand new 18490 lasted only 2+ hours and the low batt light started blinking. Now on it's second charge and battery has been holding up for 4 hours and counting. I guess battery needed a 2nd wake up charge to give it's full potential. Also prolly because I was running too hot on 4-4.2 volts on a 1.5 ohm cart. Also probably because I kept on fiddling with the settings. :D

JOnly two things are worrying me. Can it take ego threaded cartos? And the display seems very complicated for changing voltages, checking resistances, etc.

Can I jump back in on this topic? First question, I don't own any ego devices, but my guess is one might need a 510-eGo adaptor.

The menu is not rocket science. Five clicks and you're into the menu system. First mode is voltage up. If you want to adjust voltage higher you press and hold the button as the display scrolls upward, release when you reach your voltage. Wait three seconds and you are out of the menu system and can vape.

Adjust voltage lower? Five clicks and back into the menu system. First mode is voltage up, click once more and you are into voltage down mode. Press and hold until you scroll down to the lowered voltage you want, then release. Wait three seconds. Vape.

Its the same for checking for battery voltage and atty resistance metering, they both are listed in the menu scroll. The Provari tests each of those "under load", so your Provari will fire for a couple of seconds and then measure for the more accurate reading.

If you play with the menu for about 10 minutes when you first get it it comes together pretty quickly. Yeah, I sometimes scroll past what I want. It happens. I just repeat and rinse.
