you were definitely one of the reasons i ended up getting it. one thread where you and another dude argued for a few pages really made feel pretty confident about it. my gf got it for me after she asked what i wanted for as a late bday gift lol. glad i can return the vtube. the cap threading is so bad on it compared to the provari.
Wow. Then the debates with ShogaNinja did turn up productive after all. One postor said he didn't appreciate the two extreme opinions being debated so intensely and was afraid the thread would get out of control, asking for a moderator to close the thread. I worry sometimes that I may come across to non-Provari owners as a fan-boy or an elitist.

Can it take ego threaded cartos? And the display seems very complicated for changing voltages, checking resistances, etc.

I started on an eGo battery and some stardust clearos. I picked up some 510 extensions for dripping with my ProVari and they work fine for attaching my stardusts to it. The eGo stuff still uses a 510 connection in addition to the larger thread pattern.

On the menu - I don't find it difficult to use at all. In fact, I'm now obsessed with checking the resistance on all of my devices when I mount them. It adds a new dimension to the experience for me. I've found that readings can change over the life of a wick or atty and I love being able to adjust for the variances.

And it feels like quality when you hold it in your hand.

Agreed. I spoke yesterday of an instance where my Vivi head stated 2.4 yet the Provari told me 2.9ohms, and I adjusted the voltage accordingly.

The menu system can be a pain if you scroll past what you're looking to adjust, but it is really simple to use and doesn't take more than 10 minutes to grasp. I just downloaded the pdf from Provape and became familiar. Easy peasy.

I keep going to pull the trigger myself, but the price still niggles at me.. lol

I'm sure I will at some time though, it's hard to resist as they seem great.

Me too! Of all the things I actually NEED - a provari is not on the list. but my mind, little monkey mind that it is, insists that it is a "serious tool and being serious about vaping one needs the best" - thankfully I have many years experience avoiding misleading advertising :p

it read my vv nova at 2.8/2.9 also. on the vtube if i went over 3.8v it started to taste funky immediately. on the provari mini im vaping at 4.4v and it seems fine

the 18350 batteries typically last me a day of on and off vaping. i stopped chaining a while ago.

the menu system is really really simple too. i just trial and error'd through it and its not a brain teaser or anything.

Congrats on the purchase. I know exactly how you feel as I just recieved mine exactly 26 days ago. I was able to go from 2 1/2 packs a day for the last 9 years to only one cig a day in about 2 weeks with cheap hardware. For some reason I could not let that one cig a day go and continued to smoke exactly one for 3 weeks(first thing in the morning). My wife who has been awesome supporting me asked me what it would take to let the morning cig go and I told her I wanted the best device on the market(it was previously planned for a Christmas gift). She told me if I would try to give up that one a day to go ahead and buy it. That was 26 days ago that I recieved mine and 26 days since my last cig.

Yeah I know what you all are thinking and you are correct. My wife rules the house:laugh::laugh:

Grats on the purchase! I just got mine 2 days ago, and its well worth the money. I almost didn't get it because of the price. I was planning on getting the new Lavatube 2 but they were delayed to get reprogrammed for VWM, with no timetable for release. So I said screw it, because I knew eventually I would buy a Provari, so might as well do it now.

My big concern was it looks so big in all the pictures out there, but once I got it I realized its not that big at all, only 4 1/2" with the extender cap. And wow the heft of the thing is amazing, you know its not made out of some cheap materials the Chinese ones are made out of. Also when you think about it, you end up paying it off in a few months if you are a pack/day smoker. Best purchase I have made in awhile.

just came in and all i can say is wow. after holding the provari mini, it feels like a miniature tank. the vtube mini feels like a toy in comparison.

glad i listened to you guys and just decided to get this and not waste my time with other stuff. hits amazing too. better than the vtube at both the same and higher voltage. not even sure why

cant wait to really take it through its paces and write a good review

I felt the same exact way! You will love yours! I just got mine 2 days ago and haven't put it down
